You cant take it back

Alison:
I went to go check on Emily. She had been in the bathroom way too long. I turned the corner and that's when I saw them. Emily and Paige kissing.

"What the hell Emily?" I screamed out in shock. She pulled away looking shocked and guilty at the same time.

"I-uh-I didn't mean to Ali, she just kissed me-" she reached for my arm but I leaned away as if her touch might burn me. Hateful tears filled my eyes. This is what happens when the queen bee lets her guard down, she gets hurt.

"Don't-don't ever touch me again." I spat out bitterly.

"Ali, please. I didn't kiss her-" she tried to say again, tears filled her eyes but I refused to look at her directly.

"You didn't not kiss me either." Paige butted in, looking smug. I wanted to wipe that smug look off her face.

"Ali, I love-"

"No." I refused to listen to her lies. Taking in a deep breath I wiped away the tears falling down my cheeks.

"Wait, you guys are dating?" Paige looked shocked and I couldn't help but glare at her.

"Not anymore." I informed her and I glanced over at Emily and I saw her shoulder collapse into sobs. Good.

Queen bee Ali was back, falling in love screwed me over and it was never going to happen again.

"Well at least you can be mine again Emily." Paige still looked smugly at me as if she owned me.

"Paige, I don't-"

"You can't say you don't love me. We've had sex, and even if you and Ali have done it too, I was still your first time." She crossed her arms, knowing she was right.

I couldn't take this anymore. I turned on my heel and walked quickly away. I heard Emily calling my name, but the tears had filled my eyelids again and I knew I would fall for her lies again.

Emily:
I couldn't lose Alison. I couldn't. I knew for a fact I loved her. So why did I kiss Paige back?

The pain inside my chest was indescribable. When Alison said we we were over, I'm pretty sure anyone could have seen my heart shatter into a million tiny pieces. It felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest and left to hang. When she turned around to face me, her face was unrecognizable. It was like she was a different person and that scared me. Once Alison made up her mind, she was never going back.

"I didn't know. I'm sorry." Paige reached out and touched my shoulder. I flinched under her touch and shrugged it off.

"I love her, Paige." I didn't meet her gaze.

"Do you? If you did, why would you kiss me back? You can't take that back and you know it." She said proudly.

"Yeah and if you loved me, you wouldn't be happy that I just lost my other half." This time I stared at her right in the eyes. She gulped and bit her lip, "that's what I thought."

Paige opened her mouth to say something but then snapped it shut.

"Just go Paige." I said sharply and that made her look up quickly at me.

"Now." I emphasized. I guess she decided that I was serious because she walked away quickly. I went to the pool to search for Ali and saw that she had taken her stuff. I took mine as well and headed to her house. I didn't know why I kissed Paige back, but I knew for sure that it didn't mean anything and that I loved Alison. How could I prove that to her?

I banged on her door, "Alison, I know you're in there. Please talk to me."

Surprisingly, the door opened but my heart sank when I saw it was her mom.
"Ali's not here." She said.

"Well, when she gets back could you tell her I stopped by. Or maybe I could wait in here for her?" I suggested hopefully.

"Umm sure. Let me just pick up the living room." She smiled and I breathed in a sigh of relief. She opened the door wider for me to walk in.

"Thank you." I said with real gratitude. I sat on the couch, my mind churning of things I could say to Alison. Nothing seemed good enough for her to forgive me for what I did.
"Hey mom. I'm home. Sorry I went on a run." I heard Alison's sweet voice fill the kitchen and I wrung my hands together nervously.
"Hey Hun, Emily's here."

"What?" I heard the bitterness in her voice and I immediately tensed up.

"Ali, please just listen to me. I don't know what made me kiss her back, but I swear, it was a heat of the moment. I don't love her, I love you." I pleaded but Alison's face never changed. When she looked at me, it looked like she was looking right through me.

"Save your excuses for someone else." She said coldly.
"Ali. I can't lose you. I love you. I'm begging you." My voice cracked with emotion.
"Yeah, well I thought I loved you too."
"What can I do to make it up to you?" I begged standing up to move next to her. She flinched as though I was going to hurt her.
"Nothing because I don't care anymore." I searched her eyes looking for any sign of the Ali I loved. Nothing. Her eyes had literally gone cold. Like she had turned her emotions off.

Why did I even think I could get her back? I couldn't take back the kiss. I couldn't take back Paige.

I couldn't take back any of it.
