"Where the hell have you been? Me and Emily have been waiting for you! It's only half an hour till prom starts!" I shouted at Prue as she walked through the door.

"Sorry." Prue mumbled.

"It's fine. Take your blazer off and pack it and we'll get started on your hair." I sighed.

Emily picked up the curling iron.

"Father isn't picking me up tonight. He's picking me up tomorrow. He doesn't want to see me at the moment." Prue took off her blazer and tossed it on her bed and sat down. "I'll finish packing tomorrow."

"Why doesn't he want to see you?" Emily started curling Prue's hair.

"Oh." Prue's eyes filled with tears for a spilt second. "I came out. He said some really nasty things to me. Calling it a phase. Saying I'd grow out of it."

I felt sick. What happened if I came out and Dad reacted like that?

"I'm sure he'll be fine tomorrow. It's probably just a shock." I blabbered out. "What make-up look do you want to go for?" I showed Prue some pictures on my phone, determined to take my mind off thinking.

"Uh, I like the orange eyeshadow." Prue pointed at my phone.

"Alright. I'll get the make-up ready. You almost done Emily?" I looked at my girlfriend.

"Ja. Something wrong, Susy?"

"No. It's fine. Can I see you prom dress Prue?"

Prue was finally finished. She stood in the middle of the room in a royal blue dress, finishing just above her feet, styled with sequins and a belt.

"How do I look then?" Prue spinned.

"You look amazing!"

"Ja, Susy's right, you look amazing!"

Prue grinned at the two of us and grabbed her purse. "I best be off then!" She started walking towards the door. "Oh. I don't have any shoes. I best just wear my school ones."

"Well. if you can fit in a size 4, you're welcome to wear a pair of my heels." I offered.

Prue laughed sarcastically. "What size are you in shoes Emily?"

"A seven. I've only got one pair of heels and they're not very big heels or I'll be over six foot."

"That'll be fine. I'm a seven."

Emily found out the heels and Prue put them on.

"I've really got to go now." Prue hugged us both. "As you're both going home later, your Christmas presents are in gift bags in my wardrobe. Susy, yours is pink, Emily, yours is blue. See you later!" Prue shut the door behind her.

Me and Emily stood in silence, staring at the door, minutes after Prue left.

"Come on." I pulled my blazer on and my shoes.

"What are you doing?" Emily asked me.

"We're going to spy on the prom."

"We're not allowed Susy!" Emily's eyes widened.

"That's why we're only spying on it. Let's go." I tugged at her hand annoyingly.

Emily paused for a minute, deciding on what to do. "Ugh, fine." Emily put on her shoes and followed me out.

The prom was in the main hall and was a long walk from the dorms. The rain was hammering loudly on the windows and the school was almost pitch black, creating an eerie feeling. Majority of the girls had gone home and we saw nobody on our journey to the hall. I shuddered. The school's architecture looked scary in the dark. Me and Emily got to one of the hall doors- the more hidden one of the two. I crouched down and Emily looked through the door window sneakily.
