Forgiveness

"I'm sorry..." I didn't want to stop hugging her.

"I'm sorry too...I started ignoring you because you did to.."

"I didn't mean too." I sighed. I let go of her.

I felt that she hugged me again. I felt a warm smile creep up my face.

"Can we stay like this for a little longer..?" She said.

I blushed. "Sure." I hugged her back.

We stayed like that for a little while until it got a bit dark. (It was already the afternoon btw so it got dark.)

"I guess we have to go, huh..?" Kyoko said.

"Mhm." I replied.

I heard her sigh. Then she pulled away.

I gave her a warm smile. "Let's go to our dorms now."

"Sure.."

We walked to our dorms. We arrived and I waved at her and while I was unlocking my room I felt some arms around me.

"Kiri?"

I looked down at my waist and saw her gloved hands. So it was her.

I turned around and hugged her back. We stayed there for a little while after until we heard the usual announcement of it being late and were all expected to be in our dorms by now.

"B-Bye..."

"Goodnight Kiri."

We let go and went into our dorms. I felt so happy I hugged Kyoko for a little while!

I walked over to my bed and sat down. I looked at my Phone. I had a few notifications just now.

Kyoko: Are you going to sleep right now?

Makoto: Nope.

Kyoko: Can we talk like this for a little while? Since we can't head out..?

Makoto: Sure! :D

Kyoko: Dork.

Makoto: :<

Kyoko: Well, how are you and Sayaka?

Makoto: Me and Sayaka?

Kyoko: Isn't that what I just said?

Makoto: Right. Well nothing much really. :/

Kyoko: Do you want anything more with her...?

Makoto: No :T

Kyoko: You know those faces are stupid?

Makoto: :C Meany.

Kyoko: What? 

Did I just send that- Why did I do that!?

Makoto: Nothing!

Kyoko: Okay, well it's late. Get some sleep.

Makoto: What about you Kiri?

Kyoko: Don't worry about me.

Makoto: I will stay up until you go to sleep!

Kyoko: That's cute. But how will you know when I've went to sleep? 

Cute? Did she just call me cute?

Makoto: Ugh your right! I give up ;-;

Kyoko: Heh.

Makoto: Well goodnight Kiri! :>

Kyoko: Night Naegi.

I turn my phone off with a big smile. I felt really happy. Then I fell asleep.

I woke up and felt good about today. I got up and headed to the Dining Hall.

"Hey Kiri!" I give her my usual smile.

"Hello." She replies.

"How are you!" I sit down in front of her.

"Somebodies happy today." She gives me a small grin

"Huh? S-Sorry!"

She chuckled a little. "It's no big deal."

I smile.

"Did you even get sleep...? You have eye bags."

"Hmm? Oh yea I di..."She yawned mid sentence.

"Doesn't seem like it, Kiri."

"I did."

"Kiri you seem tired. Please go sleep right now.." I was worried about her.

"I'm okay, Naegi."

"Call me Makoto." I smiled again.

"O-Okay." I see her blush a bit.

"Now please. Go to your dorm and sleep."

"F-Fine." She replies. She get's up and starts to walk away.

A few hours later happened after I told Kyoko to go sleep. She hasn't been out ever since. Seems like she was very tired and didn't sleep much.

I wonder why she didn't sleep. I mean she could've been working on detective work but it seems less than likely since she wouldn't have texted me. Right? Or maybe she was busy thinking about something, that she couldn't sleep?

I went to check on her to make sure she was asleep and not lying to me. I rang her doorbell and a few minutes later Kyoko came out.

Her hair was messy and she was rubbing her eyes.

"So you were sleeping?" I asked.

"Mhm" She yawned.

I chuckled. "I'm sorry that I woke you up." I smiled.

"It's alright. I was planning to get up anyways."

"Well I'll get going now."

"Sure."

I started to walk away once I felt a gloved hand grab my wrist.

"Makoto.."

"Yes Kiri?"

"Can we hang out later tonight, outside of the school..?"

"Sure!" I smiled at her with my biggest smile.

"Thank you." She let go of my wrist. I waved goodbye and walked away.

But I started to question why did she grab my wrist? She could've just told me to wait and told me what she said. Was it just an instinct? Oh well. I won't over think. About something so small.

"Hey Makoto!" Somebody yelled.

I look around and see Leon. I sighed.

"Hey Leon."

"So I've been planning to ask out detective chick."

"What? You w-we're serious?!"

"Yea, of course I was."

"Well I'm hanging out with her today so.."

"Dang you lucky bastard. Well then alright. I'll see you later."

"Also can you maybe hit on someone else, Leon..?"

"Why? You have a crush?"

"W-What!? N-No! Just I don't wanna see her get heartbroken if she does fall for you." Which probably won't have but never say never.

"Sure buddy. Alright I won't." He walked away.

I sighed of relief I didn't wanna see Kyoko hurt.
