[2014]

It was her last day at Nekoma High, she used to be a lone wolf and science geek. But since the arrival of Lev Haiba, or she used to call him Lev, her world pretty much changes. Everyone knows who's that 194 cm boy from class 1-3, yes, he play volleyball, he's the optimistic person Akira ever met. Both of them been dating for almost two years, so that was a pretty big impact to Akira, now she use her smile often, laughing with these Nekoma Volleyball Club boys, and importantly... her self-esteem was upgraded. thanks to him, she guess.

"Look who's finally graduated"

"It's just some ceremony, and I'm out from this school... forever"

"Well, you can visit us for once or twice in a year, right?"

"Yeah... right..."

"Btw, i'm gonna get you somewhere you like, meet me in front of your house at 6 pm, i'll be there soon"

"what's the occasion?"

"your graduation day, i'll see you soon Akira"

"alright mr. sir"

It was 6 pm already, Akira wore her best coat and her best outfit for the night which she rarely use to think what she's going to wear since all she did was study and study until she graduates.

"hi there"

"ready?"

"ready"

haiba took akira to Tokyo Skytree for the sake of akira's graduation. he wore his dark brown coat, and with his height, it looks really good on him. they arrived, it feels like everyone knew haiba there since all he did in his time off was going to skytree, just too see the view and drink.

"welcome mr. haiba"

"thank you"

they sat on the bar lounge, was talking stuff and especially how both of them are gonna face a really long distance relationship. they talked to much until forget to order some drink, "tea? wine?"

"champagne, please" akira laugh.

"whoa, hold it right there. since when you drink champagne?"

"since you brought me here way too often"

"so the good girl gone wild right now?"

"lev, you're the wild ones"

he chuckles, "heh, cheers?"

"for?"

"a high school grads, and also a UCLA freshman"

"goddamnit lev, it's nothing i mean it's ordinary"

"says someone who's extraordinary"

"so, cheers?"

"cheers"

they spent the entire afternoon to talk the old times, where haiba used to very cocky and confuse how to chase akira and how akira always teased by kuroo while she went to the gymnasium just to accompany haiba practice. it was a good time to cherish for, something that akira would treasure forever.

on their way back home, akira told haiba that her departure to california was on three days, it was pretty fast because she really wants to adapt and adjust some few stuff, which she's going to live with her dad (akira mom and dad was split and her dad lived in los angeles), so their time together was only 72 hours left.

arrived at her home, akira went to take a shower and finally checked her phone, there was many notifications she got, tagged on Instagram, or just texts from families or friends. but there's one message catch her eye,

📥 unknown number

hello, i know today is your graduation day, a little birdie told me. congratulations on your day, congratulations on making in to a reputable university, i know how much you love biology so it brought you to the place. you are going to do well there.

i'll see you on top, by the time i am saying this i can picture how you're going to reach it in a few years. oh sorry, this isn't any strangers out there, it's still me. i just change my number. -K

it's been few days from the last time akira reply kita's message. the inarizaki team captain that everyone surprised about, that powerhouse school that beaten by the karasuno crows and still going up the next year, he stayed in his house with his grandma. how did they met? it was pretty funny actually, akira went to the interhigh few months ago, and then she just went really thirsty so she was looking for a convenience store for a water. either her water bottle was slipped from her hand or the money she was going to use to pay the bill, kita catch them.

"i believe this is yours?"

oh shit, he's the inarizaki captain.. oh wait, last year captain. Akira mumbles, "th-- thanks"

"no worry"

then she left, she just really don't want to stay a little longer because everyone knows this guy and she really hate the fact that there are still people who's looking at this ex-captain, talking with their friends. she decided to put all of her stuff inside her purse, even ended up kita finally caught her again and asked her name.

"akira"

"kita"

two words that leads both worlds into another new universe, they exchange number because at some point they were just.. clicked. felt so clicked even the miya's started to look at their captain, lucky her, one of akira's friend ended up asked her to leave the stadium so that was the first and the last meeting... for now.

[Haneda Airport, three days later]

"you brought all your stuff dear?"

"yes ma, don't worry, dad will take care of me.. i mean, he got the family, right?"

"tell me if he do something you don't like, okay?"

"will do!"

few minutes after the goodbye's with mom, haiba arrived. all he want to do was saying goodbye to his girlfriend, and release her off to california.

"i'm gonna be just fine, lev, that's okay. the one thing you really need to remember is you're on your final grade, so just please-- think about your study, volleyball can wait"

"think i'll be withdraw from the team"

"wait what??"

before she knows what was happening, the airport called her already. it was her last hug with haiba, and there'll be no more hug from him. she left haiba and her mom in tokyo, with her deepest breathe, she's swearing to herself that she's not going to make another stupid decision in cali.
