Prologue

"More, Rina! More!"

I struck more sexy poses in front of Daniel, our photographer in this photoshoot today. I'm sitting in a high stool chair, wearing only a red two-piece swimsuit. This is my second endorsement for this brand at kaya daw nila ko kinuha kasi mas tumaas ang kita nila nang ako ang ginawa nilang ambasadress last time. 

They even splashed water over my body to make me appear more seductive. My makeup artist gave me a ferocious look by using darker tones in my eyes and dark red lipstick on my lips. Kaya naman mas nagmukha akong mature at sexy.

Nang masatisfied si Daniel ay agad akong tumayo papunta kay Sia at nagpayakap sa bathrobe na inabot nya sakin. Nagsipalakpakan ang buong production staffs kaya naman nag-bow ako sa kanila para magpasalamat kahit na nanginginig ako sa lamig. After monitoring my pictures, agad akong dumiretso sa banyo para magbanlaw at magpalit ng damit.

"Are you sure you're leaving separately from Ladies Sole?" Sia asked as our van drove away from reporters stationed outside the building where our photoshoot was taking place.

I took out my phone from my bag. "Yes."

"And why? Magdadalawang taon palang naman kayong magkakasama. Dapat andoon ka muna para mas tumibay yung samahan nyo."

I scoffed. Di ko napigilang mapairap sa sinabi nya. I know those girls didn't like me from the start. They even bully me because I'm the most popular member of Ladies Sole. Parang kasalanan ko pang mas maganda at talented ako kesa sa kanila. If they just put some more efforts, edi sana di sila bitter sakin ngayon.

"And what? Let them gossip around me? No, thanks." I laughed sarcastically.

She just sighed. Sia is a good friend of mine. Sya ang tumulong sa akin noong mga panahong kailangan ko ng tulong sa buhay. I treasure her the most kaya naman nang makapasok ako sa industriyang 'to, kinuha ko sya bilang manager. She gladly accepted it.

"I'm just concern for you. Kaya mo bang mag-isa sa bahay? Ni hindi ka nga marunong magluto ng itlog. Jusko po." Naiiling nya pang sabi.

"Kaya nga gusto ko ding bumukod para matuto akong mag-isa. It's time for me to be an independent woman. Besides, may internet naman. I can just watch there and learn!" palusot ko.

"Eh paano kaya kung sa bahay mo na lang din ako tumira?" Sia suggested.

"Nice try." I chuckled.

Napabuntong hininga na lamang ito at tumungo. Mukhang nalugi yung mukha.

"Anyway? What's my next appointment for today?" 

I looked at my watch and it's just 3:00 in the afternoon. Maaga kasi ang naging sched namin kanina kaya naman maaga din kaming natapos.

"Wala na. May meeting ka lang with Ms. Lorelei Garcia. Sya yung kinuha kong architect ng bahay mo and she also mentioned na may kasama daw syang engineer to look the structure of your house. Don't worry, I did some research on her and she seemed to be quite competent." she said while checking my sched on her iPad.
