I threw the remote in frustration as today's events keep playing in my head. They increased the number of guards around the house, making it harder for me to sneak out. Groaning I paced around in my tiny apartment until my cats and I both decided that I need more sleep rather then pacing? Feeling defeated I lay down in my bed and stare at my ceiling. The glowing logos on my ceilings illuminated a warm yellow glow in the moonlight, as the wind chimes tinkle and sway. The night was quiet, and my cats are both home.
I can feel the frustration welling up, the frustration of not being able to do anything. But worst of all, I just want to know, why me? What have I done, for my life to go into such a turmoil? Now I know how all the protagonists from those cringe reincarnation novels feel. The confusion, the mass amount of information to absorb. I wish I could talk to my reincarnated soul or something but so far, there doesn't seem to be anything that indicates I have a second soul...
Wait, so how do they know it's me? It could be anyone else.
I sit up from my bed frowning. I recalled a spell that I decipher from an old scroll, and that scroll was about spiritual communications. A daring thought creeps into my brain as I rushed to my desk, fumbling through all the parchments and scrolls until I found the battered dark brown scroll. It was tied up with a leather cord and a simple seal which was easy for me to break. Quickly I open up the scroll and spread it on the floor.
As I was reading through the spell, Yoru walks over from the bed in his pup form and sits down across me. I didn't look up towards him until I hear a soft growl. It was not a menacing one, whether, it sounded like Yoru is trying to catch my attention. I looked up slightly to see he had got himself some ink from my table (wait how?) and was using his claw to dip in the bottle. Curious I watch as the tiny Aq Bars drew a magic circle on the floor, with symbols from the scroll and more that I have never seen. When he was done he flicked his claw as if to get rid of the ink and look at me with his icy blue eyes.
My brain was literally in shock. A magical creature just made a magic circle on my floor as if that was normal, which is not. And to make it more fascinating, this creature has made a very advanced and detailed circle with symbols and runes that I have never seen.
"Yoru, how old are you anyway? You're not just a pup are you?" Yoru continued to look at me, and for a moment I saw something flicker in his eyes.
Slowly I got closer to the circle that he made, while Yoru's stare followed my fingers tracing the dried ink. Slowly I try my best to translate the runes, but most of it are so hard to even remember. Suddenly Yoru flapped his wings and flew to my shoulders. Just as I was about to ask aloud he opened his mouth...

Voki heaved out a very heavy sigh, as he look at his homework spread out in front of him. Even with all the recent incidents the academy demands for homework to be submitted as per usual. His mind starts to wander as he thinks about what Kitty has told him. About how she is supposedly a reincarnated soul for a very important being, and how she is being targeted. Who was it... the queen of something...
"The Queen of the Northlands." "Clang!!"
As soon as Voki said the name aloud, a crashing sound resonated from the hallways, right outside his bedroom door he left ajar. Surprised, he stood up to open his door and finds a maid trembling, with a tray and some shattered china on the floor. "Anetta, what's wrong?"
"Young master, where have you heard the name from?" The maid, Anetta, looked at him with big terrified eyes, her lips trembling in fear, and sweat forming on her forehead. "I heard it from some rumours lately, around the streets." Voki lied. Why is Anetta scared of this name? It was as if she saw Death itself.
