Standing There

He looks so perfect standing there

Under the branches with the summer air,

Blowing across his slick black hair

I just met you and yet it's hard to bear;

How do you do this to me?

How do you have this power to be

Someone so angelic to me?

You seem perfect I can say truthfully.

Sitting across the table, you grin,

Only a few seconds and I'm sucked in.

I smile back, my heart and I therein;

Unexplainable, but I know it's no sin.

This was never my decision,

But I'm in like I don't have an option.

In my eyes, there is no discrimination,

Among others you're an awesome distinction.
