Collected poetry I've written

I was talking to my girlfriend one night about writing and poetry so I decided to write her a poem (I usually never write rhyme scheme because I'm kind of against writing rhyme scheme in a way) I haven't written a rhyme scheme poem in probably about 5-6 years and kind of just wanted to prove to myself that I CAAAAAN write them, but anyways it's actually the FIRST piece of writing of mine that I've shared publicly, and I think it SUCKS but I hope everyone enjoys it.

My own poetry

A summer ride gives a glimpse of seasons' time. 42 stanzas surrounding the hydrology of the Snake River. The Alpha and Omega being tested out. I can't say I made it all up, the speaker leaves out a few good details. But the compromise between truth and daring is up to readers to judge as poetry.

What's with the darkness? Man has always viewed starry nights with a romantic tinge, and this poem brings to life the thoughts of a person who's with his love, but there's an intangible veil that prevents them from striking an endearing conversation. A case of so near yet so far, it may be said.
