Summer 1993

I drove my old Mustang into the tiny city of Endora, and I made my way to the little house that I bought next to another wooden house with a tall tree. My parents said I was crazy for wanting to move to "the middle of nowhere." It was the quietness it provided that I was looking for; so I could write the book I was preparing.

Since I was ten years old, I wanted to be a writer because I found storytelling fascinating; you could make art with words and change someone's life for the better. I liked writing where it was quiet because it was the time where my ideas could come to life.

I finally found the house I was looking for, and I sat back against the seat of my car, taking it all in. "This is my new life, and I'm ready," I told myself excitedly. I got out of my car and began to take my belongings into my new home.
The house reminded me of a cottage that you'd find in a fairytale, it was small without being claustrophobic, and it had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The windows had yellow lace curtains, and the walls were wooden, and they had everything I could want.
Oh, I should probably introduce myself, my name is Hannah Coleman, I'm twenty-four years old, I know I'm young, and I have my whole life ahead of me, but I want to see what is out there, and I took that opportunity. Now Endora would allow me to have a quiet life to come up with ideas for my book.

I was excited to see what this town had to offer.
