2: ice breakers

Another day comes and you get ready and head to the usual training grounds. Working in the scouts sure gets repetitive and tiring, but you still enjoy it anyways.

You were assigned to train Eren today, and you still have no clue why Levi thinks he can order you around. Yes, you are a couple of years younger than him but that doesn't make him above you in any way shape or form. You walk down the stairs and find Eren waiting for you while the rest of the squad is off to a training field trip to the woods.

"Hey, Ms. Hale," he says looking down to the ground, and you nod.

"You can call me Y/n," you say rocking a friendly tone, and he nods. You knew that being rude to your cadets would never be your teaching style, building friendly bonds is your number one goal.

"So Eren you graduated at the top of your class?"

"Yeah I worked my ass off" he sighs.

"Okay, how about you give me a preview of your combat abilities, take me on" you challenge, and he looks shocked by your appeal. After only a second of shock, he changes his expression and extends his hand to fight. You wonder if he could possibly turn into a titan mid-fight and kill you, but you laugh it off. He has been with Levi for a while I'm sure they know he can control himself.

After a couple of minutes of Eren throwing punches at you and you perfectly dodging them, you decide to start giving some advice. He's not terrible but there's room for improvement.

"You're too impulsive with your punches, wait till you see an opening and then strike" you explain and he gives you a raised eyebrow.

"Like this" you quickly hit him in the abdomen the second his hand moves down.

"You're good" he mumbles rubbing his abdomen from the pain.

"You'll get there it takes lots of training" you chuckle and pat him on the head, he's around your height. Right after you say that Levi and his squad walk in and begin discussing with Eren the plan.

From what you gathered the plan is for Eren to shift into his titan form and carry a huge rock to plug the wall. Not a bad plan but pretty risky, you still can't wrap your head around how he can even become a titan. Does that make him human? Or originally a titan? Or a mixture of both?

"We will begin the mission to plug the wall tomorrow morning, one wrong move Eren, and I will personally end you" Levi threatens and you notice Eren stiff up. Poor boy, you think to yourself but also he's wanted to join the scouts which has to be the most stressful job.

It's the morning of the mission, and the survey crops get on their horses and head to Trost district. You can't help but be nervous as always, every one of these missions is a risk to the safety of everyone. You were assigned to eliminate all the titans with the area along with the most skilled soldiers, hence this would make Eren's entrance smooth.

While Eren and some other people wait at the gate, you and your comrades head into the titan infested district. The second your horse, Elmo (yes you named him that), crosses the wall you spot a titan charging towards you.

Without a thought, you jump off your horse and point your odem to a nearby building. You jump into the roof of the build and the titan shifts his attention to you and extends his arm to capture you. As his hand approaches your body you aim your odem gear at his eyeballs. You have always been amazing with your aim and hitting the eyes will give you more room to slice the titan's nape.

As the hook of your odem gear is attached to the titan's right eye, you wrap around his head and pull out your sharp blade. The second you reach to the titan's nape you dig your sword deep in and drag it along his entire neck. The sight of the blood gushing out is disgusting and deadly, but it's nothing new to you.
