Amara busted open the door as she bolted to a seat, causing an obvious disruption in the class, people stared, no seats were left. not even the front seats. And that;s saying something, NO ONE likes the front seats. Amara stood at the back of the class, bored out of her mind. Maybe, if no one decided to skip Mr Bellamy's lecture, she wouldn't have to do any work.

"Excuse me, Mr Bellamy? I have to leave for my dentist appointment?" a girl spoke up; Her name was Taylor. Amara rolled her eyes at the comment, not because now she had to do work, but because taylor used to be amaras best friend. I suppose you're wondering what made Taylor and Amara break off. Let me tell you. Amara had kept her parent's death a secret from everyone for quite some time. Eventually, when Amara was 10 and Taylor was 10 and a half, she told her. Now taylor was one fo those people who never really cared about anyone's feelings or wellbeing. So instead of being a "good friend", she went and told the whole 4th grade about it. Now everyone knows about her secret, not just her grade. When Amara tried to confront Taylor, she decided to make the cheap comment"Well, I guess news travels fast". Lets just say that that comment resulted in 2 trips to the principals office, 3 black eyes, 1 week of detention, a suspension and a broken nose.

"Amara, take Taylors chair" Bellamy boomed. Amara sheepishly scuttled to the empty beige chair and table set.

"Hey Ammo!" a familiar voice said. Amara looked to the direction it was coming from, It was Andrew Blake. Andrew has known Amara since kindergarten, and it was almost a love story. In kindy, Amara proposed to Andrew with a grape, in prep he and her thought they were dating, in year 6 Amara had a crush on Andrew and Amara's best friend Samantha nearly got Andrew to confess his feelings until Amara yelled out "KARATE CHOP!!!!!!" and ran off. Now, Amara still has a crush on Andrew, but is too shy to admit it, and is unsure if he likes her back.

"H-Hi Andrew, how's l- life?" Amara asked

"oh SWEET!!!! I got a new soccer ball!! It's got the OLYROOS on it!"

"Hold up, didn't the Olyroos get knocked out in the first round of the Olympics??" a sour voice hissed. It was Neil.

"No-one asked you, pretty face!" Andrew spat

Neil was the class brat, or as Mrs Allexas likes to say (she's the Psychology teacher) "Active minds with no place to put their emotions. He hated life.. and Andrew. In fact, he hated all living, dead and non-existent things.

"what are you looking at!?" Neil huffed at Amara

"That's quite enough Neil O'Connor!" Mr Bellamy boomed over the class, his teacher textbook still in hand and a whiteboard pen in his other.

"S-sorry Sir, it won't happen again...Promise!"Neil stuttered. Mr Bellamy made an unsure hum as he continued with the lesson. Finally, the bell rang for lunch and the class was excused. Now Amara won't have to talk to Andrew!
