Edric sat down at the table for two by himself, flatting the wrinkles in his Hawaiian shirt that he bought the other day. He fixed his black bowtie he had on, it complimented his light blue Hawaiian shirt with palm trees and pineapples on it. He checked the time: 6:58. He was 2 minutes early. A million thoughts raced in his head, ranging from "I should really just leave...." To "this is so stupid" He could feel the sweat pooling in his armpits and hands. He looked out into the night sky, the moon hanging low in the sky above the boiling seas. Edric was at the most popular restaurant in the boiling isles.
The Dine and Gash, Home to exotic foods, dancing and romance. Or, that's what edric was told by Emria, his twin sister. Edric had been looking for a partner for a while, but couldn't find anyone that could keep up with his antics and jokes. It would have been so much easier if he was into girls, but, this was just how he was. He remembered how just two days ago, his sister showed him the ad for the blind date program this restaurant was doing. "Ed, it's so easy! You just put in your type, and it tells you a day and time for your date! You should try it, it's how I met viney!" Emria smiled at him, he was taken aback, he had seen his sister happy, but not THIS happy. Edric slumped down next to her. "I mean I guess I'll try it, I'm starting to run out of options nowadays." And that led him here. To this diner right next to the edge of a cliff. It was pretty, but it was also pretty dangerous the music played outward, towards the cliff and if you weren't paying attention, it's a big hello to the healing coven the diner itself was fancy, and the blind date program had its own section outside of the building. Edric watched all the other blind dates meeting each other, and sat sullenly in his seat.

"Excuse me, are you uh... Edric?"

Edric looked up and butterfly's bloomed in his chest.

His date was wearing a white button-up with red cardinals patterns. He was wearing a black belt with reddish-beige jeans. He had a scar on the left side of his face, and a chipper ear his hair was blonde, slicked back, except for a strand of hair that was dangling loosely. His eyes were a reddish pink

Edric could feel his cheeks going red, he felt so under dressed, wearing light brown pants and a simple belt.

"Y-yeah that's me." Edric said, the butterfly swarm calming down.
"And your....?" Edric said, knowing that his date was the only one who knew his name because of the sign ups.

"Oh yea... I'm hunter." He said, brushing his hair back a bit.

"Well it's nice to meet you hunter" edric said beaming at hunter.

For the slightest moment, he could have sworn he saw a hint of pink in hunters cheeks but he shrugged it off.

Both the boys ordered their food to think about something else.

And then Edric tried stirring up a conversation.

"What coven are you in?" He asked

"Oh I uh- haven't committed to one yet, can't decide" hunter replied, holding his arm.

Edric wasn't stupid. He knew he was lying about the coven he was in, but didn't want to press into it.

"Well I'm an illusionist, not that good at it quite yet." Edric said. Using his finger, he drew a blue circle in the air, and the candle light from the table changed from yellow to a calm reddish orange. Edric drew another circle, and some rose petals fell from the sky around them. He stood up, taking in the sight. Hunter looked up, eyes filled with awe, he smiled wide and his tooth gap showed, making edric blush again.

Hunter reached to touch one of the petals, and when he did, Edric's romantic illusions disappeared. Hunter sat down, taking a big sigh of wonder.

"You said your not that good?? That. Was amazing." Hunter said, leaning over the table getting close to edric, eyes filled with wonder.
