↬Adoption Papers (Bucky Barnes)

It's been a week since Bucky 'saved' you from Karli and her group. Bucky always brought you along with him wherever he went, because he felt a need to protect you. Sam also grew a strong liking to you and even punched Zemo in the face when he suggested to put you up for adoption.

Today was the day of Mama Donya's funeral and of course, you were all going to attend it. Bucky, you, Sam and Zemo started walking back to the camp with Bucky holding your hand protectively. His grip on your hand only increased when John and Lemar joined them.

"Who is this?" John asked, giving you a look and Bucky immediately pulled you to the other side so that he was standing in between you and John.

"None of your business." Bucky retorted, not even sparing John a glance, making John scoff at him.

At the funeral, Bucky stayed back with John, Zemo and Lemar while you and Sam went to talk Karli out of whatever she was doing. This was, however, cut short by John barging in and making Karli loose all trust in Sam and you. Karli ran away and Bucky, also being a super soldier like her, ran behind her. You were about to run behind Bucky but Sam stopped you and told you to stay put while he went and helped Bucky.

John and Lemar were gone too and when you went to see if you can stay with Zemo, he was gone too. Since you remembered the way back home, you decided to wait for them there. You walked home and sat down on the couch, praying that nothing would happen to Bucky and Sam.

After like 30 minutes, you had decided to go to your bag which had your stuff and look through it. While doing so, you found adoption papers in it, which your parents had already signed. You took a deep breath and sat down on a bed nearby, inspecting the paper as though someone had sabotaged it.

What you didn't know was that Bucky, Zemo and Sam came back and Bucky had walked into the room you were in. Bucky's eyes went to the paper in your eyes, but he couldn't figure out what it is. "Hey, what is that?" He asked, walking over to the bed and sitting down next to you.

"It's nothing." You lied, about to put the paper back in your bag but Bucky held your wrist tightly yet gently to stop you. He slowly took the paper out of your hands and looked at it, his eyes widening a bit when he realised what it was.

Bucky looked at you as tears brimmed your eyes. He smiled softly, moving closer to you. "Are you still looking for someone to sign this and adopt you?" Bucky asked and you nodded, looking down at the bed. "Can I?"

Your head shot up and your shocked face met Bucky's smiling one. "W-What?" You stuttered out, making his smile widen.

"Can I sign it and adopt you?" He asked again and that was it. You burst into tears and quickly threw your arms around him, burying your face into his shoulder while nodding vigorously.

"Yes, yes, you can." You sobbed and Bucky wrapped his arms around your small and petite body. "You don't know how glad I am that you said yes." He chuckled, making you laugh softly.

"Sam! Get me a pen!" Bucky shouted as you both pulled away, Bucky wiping your tears. Sam walked in after a few seconds to see you both laughing and talking. Sam handed Bucky the pen and Bucky took it, looking at you with a bright smile.

"Shall we make it official, then?" Bucky asked and you nodded again, smiling as he signed the papers. "And done." This time, Bucky wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a tight hug. "I promise to love, care and protect you, Y/n Barnes."

"You adopted her?!"
