"I can't believe you, what where you thinking!" My feet pound the ground as the voice echos in my head and I take a sharp turn around a corner, thrusting myself into the nearest bathroom.
Thankfully all of the stalls are empty. I push one of the doors open and lean on the ground up against the wall, wincing as more images and voices attack me.
"Serenity, do you know what people are going to say!" I slam a fist against the wall and and cry out in pain. "You're mother is going to be furious, and what about Drake?" As tears stream down my face, I pull my phone from my pocket and dial Brooklyn's number.
The call is denied and I whimper and curl up into a small ball as another wave hits me. "I'm so disappointed in you young la-" The voice in my head is cut off but not by me. Instead the sound of glass shattering and a male's voice singing in the background fill my head.
At that moment, I don't care how loud I am. I let out a loud cry and pound my already bruising hand against the stall over and over again.
Suddenly I hear the door to the bathroom open and I watch as a pair of feet fashioned in a pair of black heels stops in front of the stall. I sniffle as I hear a quiet knock rap on the door and I stand from where I am kneeling.
"Serenity,"
I unlatch the door as I wipe the rest of the tears from my eyes and open the door to see Brooklyn standing before me. "are you okay?" She asks.
I shake my head no and push past her to look in the mirror.
"I came as soon as I got your call." She explains as I fix my hair and makeup in the mirror. "Are you okay?" She asks again and I stop what I'm doing and sigh.
"I'm fine."
Brooklyn sighs and catches my arm, pulling me along with her. She pushes the door to the bathroom open and we make our way back out into the halls. I stop in the middle of the hallway and Brooklyn sighs, pulling me out of the middle of the hallway.
Leaning against a row of lockers for support I sigh and sniffle, wiping the rest of the tears from my face.
I slide down the lockers and plop right down on the group and let the rest of my breath out.
Brooklyn of course comes to sit beside me and she takes my hand in hers as I try and slow my breathing. Leaning my head on her shoulder I begin to feel more relaxed.
I listen to the beat of her heart and count the seconds between each breath that she takes until a loud cough interiors my thoughts.
I start and look up from where I sit on the ground and notice Brenton standing before me.
Brenton looks me up and down and I realize that I must look like a maniac. My hair is sticking out in random places from having pulled it and my makeup is probably running down my cheeks, painting them black.
"We were sent to look for you." He states quietly as I unlink my hand from Brooklyn's and try my best to stand up from the ground.
I fix my appearance as best as I can but give up, not caring anyways about how I look. "We?" I question him as Brooklyn comes to stand beside me again.
"Most of the class." I gasp slightly at that and my cheeks flare in embarrassment.
"Well then," I glance back to Brook and nod my head, silently telling her that I'm fine for now, and ten back to Brenten. "I guess we should get back."
