Chapter #6 - We're On The Case

As the sun rises over the horizon, a new day means a new adventure. Scene cuts to Eva sleeping on top of the left side of the bunk bed.

(Yelling while panicking.)

Hugh: "Teresa?! Where did she go!"

(Climbs on Eva's bed and shakes her violently.)

Otis: "EVA, WAKE UP!"

Eva: "*Groans* W-What..."

(Panicked tone.)

Otis: "It's Teresa! She's not here."

(Flies onto the bed.)

Hugh: "We have to tell the guild master about this-"

Suddenly, three knocks are heard coming from the door.

(Opens the door while holding an angry Teresa by the back of the neck.)

Ardent: "Oh great, you're all awake. Meet me outside of the guild and we'll get started."

Hugh, Eva, and Otis all look in shock, but agrees to Ardent's request and all climb down to grab their scarf and badges, then leave the room. Scene then cuts to the main entrance, where Ardent is standing next to the bulletin board, and the Wanderers looking at him.

Ardent: "So as requested by Vedis herself, today you kids will begin your first real mission. (Places hand on the board.) Most of these rescue or outlaw quests take about a few days to weeks to complete, (Pulls out a letter from under his orange scarf) so I've already picked one that will take 2 days at most."

The Zangoose hands Hugh the letter.

(Eagerly waiting for the message as Hugh opens it up.)

Otis: "Well? What does it say?"

Hugh: "(Looks at his brother.) Hold on Otis! (Looks back at the letter.) Alright, it says.."

Dear Guild for Freedom

"I need your help. My sister and I have been looking for this diamond jewel for our mother as a birthday gift. We initially tried to purchase it from shops in Langdale town but to no avail. However we were told that we could find some deep within a cave located west. While we found the place to find a jewel, we noticed a scary Pokémon going in and out of the cave. Neither of us don't know how to fight, nor do we want to take the risk of getting in harm's way. The reward for this request is 200 dollars upon completion, and we would be extremely grateful if anyone reading this letter can help us."

(Notices something behind the letter, and begins unfolding it.)

Hugh: "Wait, what is this- (Realize what it is.) Oh! It's a map to the cave in question. (Happy tone) This saves us a lot of time looking for the place."

(Scoffs in annoyance.)

Teresa: "All of that just for a jewel? That cave could be anyone's territory for all we know, and $200 is a ripoff anyways."

(Walk closer to the group.)

Ardent: "It's no one's territory. (Raises right hand) I've walked past that place several times before, and no Pokémon has claimed it as it's home.

(Looks at Ardent with a curious look.)

Eva: "Have you ever been inside it before?"

(Looks down at Eva with a slight anger tone.)

Ardent: "Do I look like the kind that walks into an abandoned cave like it's nothing?"

(Steps back in fear.)
