Camila decided to play it cool back at the station on Monday. She would never regret snapping at Ryan, but she also didn't want to burn any of her bridges just yet.

Luckily, the guys ignored her completely, and she let them. She got their coffee, placing it on the counter in the booth as they cracked jokes over the commercial break.

She tried to seem so calm on the outside, but on the inside, her heart was racing. She had her first meeting with Shawn tonight, and she had no idea what to expect.

She knew they had a contract to go over first and she wondered what it would say, what it would mean to sign it.

The day seemed to drag on for hours until finally, Camila was off. She left the station and went straight to the same cafe, where she and Shawn had agreed to meet.

She spotted him immediately. He was wearing the same bomber jacket as before, with a different t-shirt on underneath. This one didn't look like it had any holes in it. He'd also brushed his hair this time.

He spotted her from across the street and smiled at her, offering her one of the to-go cups in his hand as she approached.

"Sorry, I didn't know what you'd like, so I just got black coffee. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, that's fine." Camila decided to just be nice and drink it. Besides, it might taste good now that she wasn't the one making it.

"So, I figured we should go over all the details before we sign anything." He took off the sunglasses he was wearing and hung them from the collar of his shirt. "Is it okay if we head to my place—it's just more private—"

"Oh, yeah, that's fine with me." Camila wasn't sure why she hadn't anticipated this. Of course, they couldn't really talk about everything business-related on the cafe patio, but the idea of going to a famous person's house made her heart seem to jump into her throat.

"Cool, it's not that far, I promise." Shawn led her to where he was parked on the sidewalk.

"Wow, fancy." Camila said as she opened the passenger's side of the Range Rover.

Shawn just laughed. She tried not to feel intimidated as they drove for a while. Shawn told her she could change the radio to anything she wanted. Camila went past KABC and settled on a classic rock station. Shawn seemed to like that.

She sipped her black coffee in the drive, her heart still pounding. She wasn't sure what to say, but she knew they had to save the creative process for once she signed the contract.

Shawn didn't seem to think that, and began asking her questions.

"So, how'd you get into writing stuff?"

"Well, I always loved singing and dancing when I was younger. I would just sing songs all day long, and of course, then I started making up my own lyrics and stuff."

"And the job at KABC?"

"That was just luck." Camila sighed. "Honestly, I think they were desperate if they hired me, I didn't really know anything about broadcasting before I got on."

"But you proved yourself, right?" He smiled at her and she just nodded.

Proved herself at running lunch orders, more like it. Camila thought that to herself, but she was still a bit ashamed to admit what she really did at the station to Shawn. He knew she was a amateur, but she didn't want him to know just how lowly she really was.

"It's an okay job. I get to talk to a lot of real musicians that come on the show with Ryan and Adam."

"That's cool. Maybe when I come back on the scene, we can be on their show together."
