24. A peaceful ending

Cole POV

God. My head's throbbing.

"Well, morning, Cole. Up so early?" Kendall greeted, walking in the kitchen.

I faked a smile, "Yeah, I was just searching for something," I said slowly, bringing my hand to rub my temples.

I quickly put my hand down when Kendall faced me.

"What are you searching for? Already found it?" She asked while pouring the Captain Crunch in a bowl.

"Uh, no. I'm gonna go back up my room, excuse me," I said and left the kitchen.

"Where the hell is my pills," I whispered to myself.

"Cole, you alright?" Scooter alarmed me. I didn't notice he was coming towards my direction.

"Yeah, yeah I am. Feeling a little tired," I whispered.

He stopped me from walking, "You look so pale and weak. Are you really alright? I'll call the doctor!" He said

"No, there's no need for a doctor. I just need some rest," I convinced him.

"Cole, your nose is bleeding!" Scooter said and hand me his handkerchief.

"Thanks," I said and continue my way to mine & Kay's room.

"Fvck my life," I said as I leaned on the bathroom counter. I frantically search for my pills in the drawer but can't find them.

The last thing I know I hit my head on the edge of the bathtub, and I passed out.

Katherina POV

"Dad, I'm scared!" I cried and buried my head on dad's chest, "We haven't got any news about Cole!"

"Is Cole alright?" A frantic voice alarmed the whole waiting room, which consisted only me, Dad, Pattie and some of the crew. And now, Cole's mum.

I looked at Vic. Her eyes were dull. She looked lost.

"We haven't got any news from the doctor," Scooter explained.

"What exactly happen?" She asked.

"I saw him at the hallway, his face look so pale and weak. And then, his nose bleed, and he ran, leaving me dumbfounded."

"Has he gotten his medications? His nose only bleed when he did not consume his medicines," Vic explained.

I looked up from Dad's chest, "He told me he already ate them,"

"He hates all those medicines, dear. He constantly lie about eating them. Usually at home he will eat them infront of me, so that I get the assurance that he already eat them," Vic let a tear fall, "Let's all hope he's doing fine,"

Everyone fell into silence. Vic seemed calm. I think because she went through all this. But I don't want Cole to leave me just yet. He's the sweetest guy I've known.

"Relatives of Cole Harper?" A deep voice alarmed us. Ironically, everyone stood up.

"I'm his mother, is he alright?" Vic calmly asked.

"We did some checks on him and found that he hit his head quite bad that causes his skull to crack." He started, "Unfortunately, he's in coma," the doctor said softly, not wanting to hurt anyone's feeling.

Vic's mouth fell open as tears rolled down her cheeks. She backed away and sat down, burying her head in her hands after. I know its hard for her, she's a mother. I myself couldn't contain my emotions and I felt devastated. These days or even months, I wouldn't be able to talk or laugh with Cole and that's the only thing I look forward to every single day. To be with him.
