Worthy of reverenceThe excitement of the trip buzzed in the little glasshouse on the edge of the cliff. Everyone was eager to get a break from the tightly knit-up plan they had been following strategically, for the last 6 months.
It had been a while since the two cousins had been to Spain. 6 years to be exact. The last time they were there was on Aria's 19th birthday. The young assassin wanted to spend her birthday in the house her family lived in before their unfortunate deaths. It was on that day that she vowed she'd find and kill every last Cabrera. Now she was so close to her victory, she could almost taste it on her tongue.
But a thought lingered at the back of her mind. She had spent all those years training for this, for her revenge, what was she going to do when she had finally attained it?
Call it luck, destiny, or pure coincidence that at that moment, Aria passed by Ransom's bedroom, pausing at the door she couldn't help but smile at the handsome man. He stood there in all his 6 ft glory, looking rather confused and frustrated by all the clothes that laid scattered in a pile on his bed.
They hadn't discussed their little 'confession' that happened over a week ago. A lot had happened since then and even though Ransom wanted to talk about it he knew that the girl he loved wasn't ready and if anything he knew better than to push her.
"Having trouble packing?" Aria asked with a smile while leaning against the door frame.
Ransom immediately turned to face her with an annoyed look on his face causing Aria to laugh out. She quickly closed the distance between them. She placed a quick kiss on Ransom's lips before pulling him to the end of the bed that was not covered in clothes.
"Let me help. And you can tell me if you like my choices or not, " she offered to a now less annoyed Ransom who 'hmmm' in response.
2 hours later, they were all packed up and on their way to a small private hangar.
"So quick question, I'm supposed to be dead and you 3 are definitely in the top 10 of the most wanted list so I assume we not traveling normally, are we?" Ransom questioned the girl in the driver's seat.
"It's so sweet that you think so highly of us, " Aria replied smirking at her cousin through the rearview mirror.
"We're flying with a private jet. John is a trained pilot." Aria explained while Ransom glanced at the blond man who was asleep on Roni's shoulder, these three never failed to surprise him.
"You mentioned staying over by your Tio."
"Yeah, he owns a hotel and underground casino in the heart of Spain. He kind of retired from our side of the business, handing it over to Roni and me. Hope you're prepared to meet him, " she said placing a hand on his thigh.
Ransom quickly intertwined their fingers, pulling her hand to rest in his lap. He sort through and tried to calm the restless thoughts that swarmed his mind. Even though he told Aria he loved her, she hadn't exactly said it back. She did however call him the man she loved. Ransom knew that loving someone like Aria wouldn't be a walk in the park but rather an entire battle on its own. But it was a battle worth fighting cause the prize was her love and that was something he was willing to fight for till his last breath.
