(A/N: Sorry for the small two week hiatus lol
Here's chapter 6! Shortest chapter in the book, and probably will be the shortest. I just wanted to make this chapter the party scene, but I tried to add my own flare and make it as long as it could go, but in a good way..? If that makes sense heh
I recommend listening to "Drowsy Maggie" by Celtic Music Voyages while reading this chapter for the best experience)
Day 3
"Do you wanna go to a real party, Izuku?"
He gave the blond the same wide-eyed goofy-grin he had at the dinner table, minutes ago.
And that's how Izuku ended up where he was now; watching Katsuki dance with a little girl with long white hair. She was precious, giggling and sticking the tip of her tongue out in concentration. Izuku never wanted children. He was going to have to have them to make an heir. And since his mother would preferably have a male, he'd have to keep having children if he didn't get lucky the first time. All in turn meaning he'd have to have them with Uraraka, no less. A shiver went through his body at that thought.
He sighed, pushing the thought out of his mind. Right now was good. He was having fun, mindlessly drinking cheap beer as his eyes stayed on ash-blond hair on the dance floor. There were so many people, and it was so loud. But it was the good type of loud. An Irish tune. The pot lights were giving off a heavy yellow. He was sweating a little from it, and from all the people in the room if he was being honest.
Exhilarating, and new. Fresh, if he had to describe it. So much better than any place he'd ever been before, or any parties he'd have to go to. It wasn't about business or politics, it was about living. Many people were whooping and cheering; and he joined in, clapping along to the songs. He was definitely out of his norm. He and Kacchan looked out of the norm here, dressed in such dapper and high-class suits. But it didn't matter. Izuku felt free, even if he was just sitting down and watching. He could feel some stares on him. He was used to stares, but none of these stares held malice.
It was all a haze. He felt like he was floating. It could've been the environment --or the booze-- but he didn't mind either way. A new jig started to play as others cleared the dance floor (was it a dance floor? It was a floor where people were dancing).
Katsuki and the little girl shoved through the crowd (seeing as now people were switching out), and she gave Izuku a confused look.
"I'm gonna dance with him now, Eri."
Izuku's face paled.
"Wahh? B-But!" She stuttered.
"Don't worry, kiddo." He patted her head. "I just wanna see his skills, is all. You're still my best dancer. Now come on, Deku." Katsuki reached his hand out to Izuku.
He glared at the blond's hand, uncertain. He'd never danced in a place like this. In the way that these people were.
Katsuki huffed and grabbed Izuku's hand, yanking him forward and out of his seat. He yelped at the sudden movement.
"K-Katsu- Kacchan! Wait!" He stammered. This was bad-- They couldn't dance with each other. Here. In public, no less.
