Fredca and Leafpool sat near the lake, becoming impatient with the hunting group, who had been gone for sometime. Fredca looked up into the sky, trying to ignore the hunger in her belly. She saw that the stars were to starting to appear. Whatever was going to be give her a special gift was coming soon. A rustle in the bushes distracted her as she saw the others finally back from their hunting.
"Well it's about time," Leafpool said.
"What took you guys so long," Fredca asked.
"We got a bit lost," Rainwhisker explained.
"Yeah, you should've seen how big the territory is around this lake," Whitewing said.
"It's so big, I could easily see the clans living here," Squirrelflight said.
"Well, better late than never," Fredca said. The group gathered and are their fresh kill together.
"You know, I just realized," Rainwhisker said. "What's going to be here helping us?" Fredca realized what Rainwhisker has said.
"You know, I was so focused on getting here that I didn't even think of that," she said.
"Is it a Starclan cat," asked Leafpool.
"I don't think so," Fredca replied. "My father would've told me. Whatever's coming here will be something that we've never seen before." She then heard another rusting in the bushes. She and the others got up and got into fighting stances. "Whoever's out there, come out! We know you're there." It was quite for bit until whatever was making the noise appeared.
"Sorry, sorry," it said. "Didn't mean to scare you." The figure appeared to be none other than Fredca's father, Freddy, followed by her mother, Chica and her grandmother, Marionette. Other cats also appeared. Firestar, Sandstorm, Willowpelt, Cloudtail and Brightheart. All the group's family were here. The group ran up to them and nuzzled them.
"I can't believe you're all here," Fredca said.
"Of course," Freddy said. "I told you I was going to be with you, no matter where you were."
"But how are you here," Fredca asked.
"We followed you through Starclan territory," Freddy explained.
"We even met those mountain cats' ancestors," Firestar explained. They were very kind to us."
"And we saw what you did with Sharptooth," Freddy went on. "I knew you could do it."
"I learned from the best," Fredca said looking at Rainwhisker.
"Great Starclan, what is that," Freddy said.
Fredca turned to see a light beaming down on the lake. The group got closer to see. Then a large figure appeared in the beam. It was another Marionette. She big with golden lines down her eyes. Something about her made her look like she had been around for a very long time.
"It's really her," Marionette said. "Ancient Marionette." Fredca looked at her with stunning eyes. Ancient Marionette was the first marionette to exist since the beginning of time.
"It is good to see you again, child," Ancient Marionette said to Marionette. Marionette nodded.
"It's good to see you all," Ancient Marionette replied. "Especially you, Fredca. You have traveled beyond the clans' territory. Now I offer you a gift." She summoned a large, shiny sword and gave it to Fredca.
"A sword," Fredca asked.
"Not just any sword," Ancient Marionette explained. "My sword. You have proven to be worthy to wield it."
"I thank you for this gift, Ancient Marionette," Fredca said. "But why give it to me? I already have me father's sword." Ancient Marionette's face turned serious.
"Because Shadow Fredca has my brother's sword."
The group looked confused.
"Your brother's", Freddy asked. "As in Devil Marionette?" Ancient Marionette nodded.
"We hid his sword inside the mountains after stopping his plan to rule the world . It is so strong, that it can smash a normal sword to pieces.," she explained. "And now Shadow Fredca has it. And with it, she has brought back the Shadow Army."
"What," Freddy said. "How is that possible, the shadow army was destroyed."
"Shadow Fredca is The Great Shadow," Ancient Marionette said.
"But wasn't Shadow Freddy The Great Shadow," Firestar asked.
"He never was."
"Of course," Freddy said. "I should've known."
"What father," Fredca asked.
"Before Shadow Freddy died, he told me that if I were to have children, they would finish what he started," Freddy explained. "He knew he wasn't The Great Shadow and knew that you would have it."
"Then that means Shadow Fredca will fulfill the prophecy," Fredca said.
"It would appear so," Ancient Marionette said. "But it's not." Fredca looked up to Ancient Marionette with confusion. Ancient Marionette went on. "After we banished my brother, I looked more into the prophecy and saw that my brother only heard some of it. The prophecy says that a Great Shadow will come and lead the Shadow Army to world domination, but it will be defeated by a Great Warrior. That Great Warrior is you, Fredca." Fredca's eyes widened with shock.
"How can that be," she asked. "What makes me this Great Warrior and not my father?"
"Your father may have been a hero to the clans and lived with them, but he was not born into them like you," Ancient Marionette explained. "You were raised by their way of life. Meaning you not only have the skill and abilities of a marionette, but also the skills of a warrior." Fredca looked at the sword, feeling all of its power.
" I always knew you were meant for great things," Freddy said. Fredca looked at him smiling.
"I'm ready," she said.
"Then you must hurry," Ancient Marionette said. "Shadow Fredca is on her way to the clans."
"How are we going to get back," Freddy asked. Ancient Marionette raised a paw and a portal appeared. "This will take you right back to the clans."
"Aren't you going to fight with us," Fredca asked.
"I wish I could," Ancient Marionette replied. "But I can't. But I have no doubt you will win. It's your destiny."
"Thank you, for everything," Fredca said. Ancient Marionette nodded and the group jumped into the portal.
