Chapter 7: South Korea

The sky turned sour, vomited heavy rain and assaulted the country with heavy winds. The sun was high up, but was covered by the grey blankets of God.

2 Black Hawks arrived near the DMZ line on a military base. The group stepped out onto the concrete and was met by the leader of the base: Amel Lopez.
He was followed by 2 guards holding their assault rifles tightly.

The building they walked to was a large concrete structure with AA guns and antennas mounted on top. The inside of the building was a cluster of a mess.

People rushing everywhere, papers and pens flung over the place mixed in with rapid radio chatter making a perfect claustrophobic stench that reeked the air.

The group followed Amel up stairs into a room with a large table. Already there was the President of South Korea, the head of defence of South Korea and the General of the South Korean military.
Also there, was the Department of foreign affairs of the UK. There was also a translator.

Amel started off with, "Gentleman," as everyone say down, "We all know why we are here, so let's get this thing going quick."

The President of South Korea(Roh Moon-Hye) spoke, "Alright I presume you are the people that are going to be going into the North Korean facility?"

Chris replied, "Yes Mr. President."

Roh Moon carried on, "You are aware of the risks, if this mission fails my country would be in great danger."

Chris replied, "Yes Mr. President, we are aware of the risks but I can assure you that our team will get the job done."

The General of the South Korean army(Lee-Chon) added on, "You have a plan for this I imagine."

Chris slided a piece of paper with a birds eye view of the North Korean facility.
He explained, "We don't have much intelligence on this building however I have a contact that will help us. But the idea is that we sneak into the building by using an EMP grenade."

Lee-Chon nodded and wrote something down.

"This will disable the electronics but more importantly the security systems in place giving us a 15 second window before the emergency generator kicks in. Once inside, we make our way to the weapons area and steal some of them and possibly some blue prints. Then we plant C4s. As we leave, we blow it up leaving no connection to any NATO allied countries."

Lee-Chon asked, "How will you sneak in, then out of North Korea though?"

Chris replied, "We have our ways."

After a brief pause, the Department of foreign affairs spoke, "You will have SA80-5 and the MP8 courtesy of the British Empire. Suppressed of course."

Sol asked, "Wouldn't this lead back to us if they find a shell or something?"

"No as you will be using 7.62×39mm rounds, same ones as the Soviets are using. Your guns are costom built for this purpose."

Lighting stuck, the boom echoing throughout the room.

Amel said to the group, "You will for now be staying at this base, you have 24 hours to prepare for your mission."
