"Sasuke, if you're done PMS-ing, can we leave ?" asked Naruto. Sasuke gave him a glare.

They had been sitting in the class even though it was long since school hours ended. Sasuke had been in a bad mood after his brother's wedding. He seemed to keep bumping into (Name) almost all the time, and neither were glad about it.

He knew his plan wasn't working. He had gotten soft. (Name) was getting more and more obnoxious and he couldn't do anything about it.

"You can leave if you are that impatient." he said.

"That, I will." said Naruto, and grabbed his belongings and left.

Sasuke had called Naruto so that they could think of another way to show (Name) her place.

But, as usual, their ideas and opinions conflicted and they just ended up arguing. It seemed to Sasuke that Naruto was always coming up with not-so-harsh plans which probably wouldn't even bother (Name), considering how she couldn't care less for anything except her grades.

Her grades.

Sasuke sat up straight when he realized that all he needed to do to hurt her ego was get better grades than her. Then, realizing that he had already died it and failed too, Sasuke slumped back in his seat. That nerd studied way too much. If beating her, even for his amazing self, required studied that much, then he'd rather let het be there.

Sasuke stood up once he realized what he had been thinking. Let (Name) beat him ? He surely must be losing it. Maybe spending more time than usual with Naruto was affecting him...

He slung his bag over his shoulder and started walking. Whatever it may be, (Name) could not beat him. He wouldn't let it happen.

As he exited the school building, his eyes fell on the person he despised the most. (Name), of course. He already started glaring at her, even though he knew she was not looking at him.

As he neared, he noticed (Name) wasn't moving. She was talking to someone. He couldn't see the other person, but he saw a scowl on (Name)'s face and that was enough for him to know that she was annoyed by whoever was talking to her.

Sasuke leaned a leaned a little ahead, and he regretted it. He saw another person he did not like, (Name)'s mother. Sasuke planned to quitely slip away without being noticed, but that wasn't possible when he was the only student on campus, now, was it ?

Sasuke made no attempts to hide his discomfort when he was noticed by the duo.

"The little Uchiha. We meet again." said Akane with a brief smile.

Sasuke wasn't sure whether she did it on purpose, or whether she was completely oblivous to the fact that he did not like the nickname. Considering that she was (Name)'s mother, it must definitely be the first.

"Suoh Akane." said Sasuke, as intensely as possible.

"What a pleasure." said Akane and extended a hand for Sasuke to take, which he did.

"Same here." he said with gritted teeth.

He did not like the woman in front of him. There was no base for it, no reason. He just did not like her. There was something about Akane that made him stay on high alert.

"I was just going giving (Name) here a ride home. How about I do that for you too ?"

Sasuke opened his mouth to flatly turn down Akane's offer, but someone beat him to it. In a different way.

"No." said (Name). "Sasuke and I were about to go to the library for some school work. We can't come with you."

Sasuke mouth hung open as (Name) shamelessly said all that. He didn't remember making any plans with her !

"I could give you a ride to the library too.." said Akane.

"No-- That would be a complete detour for you and I don't want you to take that much trouble for us." said (Name).

Sasuke quickly understood what (Name) was trying to do. It was a shallow blow but if it would save him from a really awkward drive, then he was going to support her.

"Yes, that's right. I'm actually helping (Name) with a project." said Sasuke smugly. He was doing a favour to (Name) in some way or the other so why not enjoy it at the same time ?

The glare (Name) gave him from the corner of her eye did not go unnoticed by him. He just smirked in return.

"Can we go now ? It will be dark soon." said (Name).

Akane narrowed her eyes at the both of them, obviously not buying the crap they were saying.

"Okay.." she said slowly, and almost immediately, (Name) amd Sasuke turned on their heels and started walking in the opposite direction.

Akane watched them till they finally turned around a corner. Then, she got into her car and drove off.

"So, when do you plan to spill the beans ?" asked Sasuke, smirking at (Name). It's what he had been doing for the past fifteen minutes.

"Never." said (Name) and scowled at him.

Of course, they weren't headed for the library and Sasuke was not helping (Name) with any project. Sasuke was trying to get out some details of the conversation (Name) had with her mother. He was involved now.

"I obviously helped you back there. I deserve to know." demanded Sasuke.

(Name) turned and pointed her index finger at Sasuke.

"You helped yourself and so did I. You owe me for saving you from riding with her." said (Name).

It was subtle, but Sasuke did not miss the distaste in (Name)'s voice when she said the last word. He knew there was something going on.

"Alright, whatever, but at least tell me what was it that she was saying to you. You obviously weren't very pleased at the idea of having her to take you home either." he said seriously.

(Name) sighed and looked ahead. " She only wanted me to give her a ride."

Sasuke peered at (Name). There was more to it, he was sure.

"And..? Why didn't you want to ride with your mother ?"

(Name) slightly flinched but covered it up with her signature scowl before Sasuke noticed. But, unfortunately for her, he did.

"She was definitely planning something." she said.

Sasuke observed (Name) for a while. She wasn't her calm, composed self. There was something bothering her and she was trying to hide it, but it was showing on her face, in her actions.

"Did.. Did something happen between you and your mother ?" he asked.

"I guess." said (Name). "But I don't want to talk about it."

"Tell me what happened." Sasuke pressed on, although little hesistantly for he feared what (Name)'s reaction would be. Curiosity was killing him. He wanted to know what bothered someone like (Name).

..and his fears came true.

(Name) stopped and turned to face Sasuke. She glared at him, but this time it was different. He could feel her anger even from a few feet away from her.

"I said that I do not want to talk about it. This is not the right time or the right place or probably even the right person. Whatever happened is none of your business, Uchiha Sasuke."

With that said, (Name) stomped off to her house which was just a few metres away. Yes, Sasuke, again, had subconciously walked her home.

But that was the least of his concerns. He watched (Name) fumble with the key before unlocking the door and slamming it behind her. He knew her had hit a nerve when he tried pushing the topic away and probably destroyed his chances of ever knowing and also added another reason to (Name)'s list of 'Why I Hate Uchiha Sasuke.'

And he wasn't happy about that.
