Chapter 8

Sarah received a message from Stefan 'sorry, I won't be coming to the office today as I am not feeling well. Please handle everything'. Sarah felt weird because a few minutes back he said that he will come. She thought of visiting him at his home. Stefan was thinking that how to tell Sarah the truth. Suddenly Stefan heard a doorbell, he walked towards the door. As soon as he opened the door, he saw Sarah standing in front of him...Sarah asked anxiously 'what happened to you? You said you're not well'...Stefan kept starring at her. She questioned him again 'are you alright?' he replied with tears in his eyes 'yes, I am okay'. She hugged him tightly by saying 'I thought you were in trouble as you sounded okay on the call but then I received your message so I got worried about you'. He hugged her back and said 'don't worry, I just feel like staying at home for a day'.

They went inside, he asked 'why are you not going to the office? who will handle my work then?' she replied with a smile 'don't worry, I have already informed Mr. Thomas to look after everything and if he doesn't know anything he will call me'. Stefan held her hand by saying 'being in a relationship, you have become lazy Ms. Sarah'. She laughed 'I think you're right but it feels good'. She ordered him to have a seat until she makes something delicious for both of them to eat. While cooking she was very happy, Stefan thought enjoying every moment with her until he tells her the truth. He went behind her when she was cooking and cuddled her. She told him 'uhhhh please go and sit outside. You're disturbing me, Sir'. He replied with an angry face 'firstly, you are still calling me Sir even outside the office, and on top of that, you are also saying that I am disturbing you. Fine I will not talk to you' and went outside. After some time, she came with variety of delicious dishes. He said that he is not hungry anymore. She grinned 'okay, I will eat'. She started eating by making sounds 'hmmm it's so yummy'. He came and sat beside her and pretended to be angry with her. After a minute, he ignored Sarah and started eating slowly. Sarah started giggling while looking at him. He asked her 'what happen?' She replied 'you're like a small kid'.

After they finished eating, Stefan got a call and went to another room to attend by saying 'Sorry, I have to take this call'. Sarah thought to do the chores until he comes back. Suddenly she heard her phone notification, she thought it was from the office. As soon as she opened the text...it was from Jennie 'It's about your boyfriend, meet me'. She came out and knocked at Stefan's door and said 'it's an emergency, I need to go now'. He asked her anxiously 'is everything alright?' she replied 'yes' and left. Jennie met Sarah and informed her 'I hope you know the truth' Sarah shockingly asked her 'truth about what?' Jennie replied 'it's about your boyfriend'. Sarah questioned her furiously 'please be clear Ms. Jennie'. Jennie smiled by saying 'I am surprised that your boyfriend does not even share his problems with you. What kind of relationship is it? Anyways, I will tell you' and showed the notice for Stefan's art gallery... 'it's a notice, if Stefan doesn't get the investor in 4 days, all his branches of art gallery will be sealed and will be on auction. I don't need to say who is responsible for all this. I have a meeting to attend now, I will take a leave'.

Sarah burst into tears and thought that she should leave him and go away from his life as it's the best thing she can do for him. Sarah went to the office and packed all her stuff and informed Mr. Thomas 'please inform Sir that I won't be coming back to the office and this is my spot resignation letter'. Mr. Thomas asked her 'What happen to you? I know it's your personal matter but you should at least inform him in person'. She was controlling her tears and left without saying a word. Mr. Thomas called Stefan and informed him about Sarah. Stefan was shocked to hear that Sarah left.

It's been few days, Sarah left. Stefan was still searching for her everywhere. He thought of checking different art galleries as she loves painting and she won't leave her dream. He received a call from Mr. Thomas 'Sir, I checked many art galleries. I have heard from a new art gallery which is recently opened that they have a receptionist name, Sarah. I think we should go and check there'. Stefan and Mr. Thomas went there, Stefan told Mr. Thomas to wait outside. He went inside and saw Sarah talking to few colleagues. Sarah looked back at him and was in tears to see him again. Before she could say anything to Stefan, he hugged her and got emotional 'don't you dare, leave me again'. She replied 'I was only creating problems in your life, I think you should leave' and pushed him away. Stefan in aggression hugged her again and said 'No way'. She saw him crying and asked him 'Why are you making it more difficult for me? I know your art gallery is very important to you'. He replied with tears in his eyes 'it's important but not more than you and for your information, I got the investor'. She smiled with tears out of joy 'I am so happy, I thought I won't be able to see you again ever'.

After a day, Sarah heard a knock on the door, as she opened the door, she saw Stefan glaring at her. They went inside and sat on the sofa. Stefan kept starring at Sarah. She asked him 'Why are you starring?' Stefan with delightness 'Because uhhhm'...And kissed her. At that moment, Sarah thought that love is the best thing that happened to her. Sarah wanted to ask something and pushed him away by questioning 'Wait, who is the investor?' Stefan replied 'oh no! I forgot...he is standing outside'. She rushed towards the door to open. As soon as Sarah opened the door, she saw Jake standing in front of her saying 'Hi, Sarah'...
