Chapter 2
A Warm Welcome
After having everything settled, Kayella went with Butler Harolds to the academy dormitory.
"This will be your quarters, Miss Kayella."
Walking inside the room, Kayella is mesmerized by the whole place. The place is truly enchanting that one could mistakenly thought of it as a castle rather than a school.
Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted when door opened and showed a girl with a smile on her face.
"Hello, Butler Harolds," she greeted the butler before turning her gaze to Kayella. "Hi."
She is wearing a cream colored dress and a pearl headdress adorned her hair, it perfectly matched with her fair complexion and deep blue eyes.
"Miss Journia, this is your new roommate, Miss Kayella."
Journia. What a weird name.
"I've been waiting for you." Journia excitedly exclaimed before leading Kayella inside. "Don't worry Butler Harolds, I'll take care of her."
The butler placed all of Kayella's belonging's inside the room before leaving.
"You're so gorgeous. What's your name? Are we in the same section What's your prophecy?" Journia immediately fired Kayella with questions as if she is interrogating her.
"Oh, my apologies, I forgot to introduce my self first. I am Journia Edwards."
"My name is Kayella and what's a prophecy?"
Kayella shrugged. "Of course, that would be wonderful."
Kayella went around the room fixing her things, "What about you, what do you think will be your prophecy?"
"A healer." Kayella's eyes widened when she heard Journia's words.
"Like a witch?!" She asked incredilosly
"I get that reaction a lot. But it's not a bad thing, being a healer means I can help people" A wave of relief passed through Kayella's face.
"Well that's not so bad."
"What about you, what do you think your prophecy will be?"
"I came from the Kingdom of Tierra."
"Tierra, an Earthbound kingdom?" Journia asked in a surprised tone.
"Yes, I am an Earthbound."
"No way, you don't look like an Earthbound and you don't smell like an Earthbound either."
"Smell like an Earthbound?"
"Earthbound have a distinct scent...but I guess not all have those."
"And you are a witch?" Kayella inquired.
"Oh, my mother is a Witch and my father is a Vampire, that makes me a-"
"Half-breed." They said as they laughed together.
"My apologies, I didn't mean to laugh at you. I'm just surprised."
"That's alright, I'm not offended because I always get that a lot. Perhaps, would like to have something to eat? Their food here is great."
"Sure, I will freshen up first then I'll follow you after."
The moment Kayella stepped out of the room then she realized that it was a wrong move, when Journia offered to wait she hastily declined it saying that she will meet her at the Dining Hall instead.
I really hate directions, Kayella mumbled to herself.
I can't even remember the path that Butler Harolds and I went earlier. Did we take a few turns? Did we take the stairs? Is it left or right?
After spending a lot of time opening countless doors and going up and down the stairs, she finally made it out.
Not sure if she is taking the right direction, Kayella still continued on walking outside. The whole campus is really huge and the beauty of the place is breathtaking, out of curiosity Kayella continued on exploring the place...Everything seemed normal, though.
"MOVE!"
Kayella was startled so she looked around to see where the voice came from.
"HEY! I SAID MOVE!"
She looked up and that is when she saw him. Standing at the top of the building.
"Kreios, come back here-" a voice from inside exclaimed.
Instead of listening, he smirked and jumped out of the building and fell towards her.
"Crap!" Kayella groaned in annoyance before facing him. "What in the world do you think you are doing?"
"I told you to move! Stupid!"
Kayella's mouth fell open, never in her entire life she was called stupid, except by herself, of course.
"If I am stupid, then what are you? Who in there right mind would jump from a tall building?"
He didn't mind answering as he hastily got up without even helping her.
"Won't you even apologize to me?" she said trying not to stutter by his intimidating aura.
"No. Why?"
Kayella scoffed, "Apologize, you jerk. Apologize or else-"
"Or else what? What can a tiny creature like you do?" he asked in a flat tone.
Fear, one word stuck on Kayella's mind as he walked towards her. She kept on walking backwards trying to avoid him.
Kayella continued stepping backwards until she felt the cold wall behind her. I'm so dead.
"G-Get lost!" she stuttered. "Leave. I don't need your apology anymore." He laughed, like a mad man. A handsome mad man.
"Do you know that I can burn you to ashes?" the coldness of his voice sent shivers down to her spine. He's kidding right?
The next thing happened almost knocked the life out of her. He held his hand directly right to her face. A spark started until it became a fire. Moments later it resulted into a fire ball. A freaking fire ball and he is going to use it against me! I'm doomed.
What a warm welcome indeed.
