the joint celebration ended with mostly bakugo and monoma trying to beat each other in the arcade.
the scores were tied though, they played at most 20 games. bakugo won 10 of them and so did monoma.
"I'LL GET BACK AT YOU!" bakugo yells as he is pulled away by kirishima and kaminari. you laughed and monoma snickered at bakugo.
"try me." monoma said and this infuriated bakugo more.
you and monoma head to the opposite way, where the bus stop was so he could send you home.
"you did great today, monoma." you said and grinned.
monoma sighed. "i'm sorry i couldn't spend more time with you today." he says as he recalled today's events.
you wave your hands in a disagreeing manner. "no no! it's okay, it's a joint celebration after all. we should spend it with the class. i totally understand, really." you sincerely said.
monoma softly smiled. he thought you'd get angry at him for not spending more time with you.
but you respected his time with the others. you weren't his girlfriend yet, but even if you were, you would still respect his time for himself and his friends.
because who are you exactly to stop him from enjoying himself? you support him in everything after all.
"thanks for walking me here, monoma." you said as you turned to face him.
the sky turned to gradients of orange and pink, the ambience was peaceful, there were fewer cars on the road, people were walking in pairs as they dive in the beautiful painted skies.
there was only you and monoma at the bus stop, waiting for the last bus to come.
"it's neito." he said.
"huh?" your e/c eyes widen at him. you were surprised.
"call me neito-"
"y/n?"
you and monoma turned your heads to the side to see your father in his hero costume.
did i say something about the ambience being peaceful? i'm sorry i'll take that back.
