Skate 'Til Sunset

-Hears a faint knock from the door-

"I'll be right there!!" Reki shouted.

Reki was being pinned by his sisters. They were whining about who won the cake eating contest last night.

"It was me!!" Said one.

"Nope. It was me." Said the other.

"Both of you are wrong. It was me!"
Reki grasped the handle and twisted it open but got trampled by the feisty children. It was like a WWE match.

"Reki?? What's going on??" Langa questioned.

"Just some- BROTHERLY LOVE!" Reki tickled his sisters on the ground.

"Do you wanna go for a ride???" Langa asked, while practically begging.

"Sure, Langa.." Reki swiftly grabbed his skateboard and headed out.

"Where's your headband?" Langa stared at his morning hair which he thought looked adorable.

"Oh, I didn't bother getting it because I just woke up!" He yawned.

"At noon?!" Langa gasped.

"Get used to it my friend!!!" Reki pat Langa on the head.

Langa mumbled under his breath,

"Friend.. huh."

"What was that?" Reki stared.

"Oh, nothing!!" They proceeded to ride towards the skatepark.

Many hours pass as they both skate together on the ramps.

"Langa, can you teach me how to position like a snowboarder?"

"S-sure..."

"You go like this- then this-" Langa grasps Reki's hand.

"You can let go now-" Reki blushed.

"Oh- sorry!" Langa backed away.

"There! Now you are a professional snowboarder."

"I wouldn't say that!" Reki chuckled.

Langa got off his board and sat down. Reki followed.

"Hey, Reki?"

"What's up? Got me a cute chick to date?"

"What? No.." Langa was flustered.

"Reki..I-"

"Move it slimes." Miya interrupted.

Behind Miya was Shadow, Joe and Cherry.

"Oh, the gangs all here!" Reki grinned.

"We are NOT a gang." Cherry folded his arms and looked away.

"Isn't S kinda like one?" Joe explained.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT-" Cherry put his foot down.

"I'm fine with that!!" Shadow chucked with his hands on his hips.

Everyone laughed along.

"Night, Langa! Cya tomorrow?"

"Right.."

Some time passed.

Reki layed in bed.

"What am I forgetting..."

"Aha! Langa wanted to tell me something but Miya interrupted."

-Reki calls Langa-

"Hey Langa?"

"What's up, Reki?"

"What did you want to tell me earlier?"
Reki stared at the ceiling and fidgeted with his hair.

"Oh, it's nothing to worry about!"

"Cmon. Tell me!!!"

"Okay..."

Langa took a deep breath. He couldn't believe himself. He was seriously about to confess.. His heart was racing so hard.

He took a short pause, then..

"I- I love you Reki. You are so amazing.. The way you act, the way you look, everything you do.. is just flawless to me. You are so talented.. and brave. Thank you so much for teaching me how to skate. I realized my feelings because of it.. I'm sorry if it's a lot to take in.. if you don't like me back that's alright.."

Langa felt a little relief but the tension was still there.

He waited for a response.

He heard heavy breathing from the phone,

then Reki hung up.
