You stood there, frozen in place, eyes wide in shock. Your mind couldn't keep up with what your eyes were seeing. Your words couldn't keep up with what your mind was thinking. You simply stood there.
Everything sounded so... drowned out, compared to how your thoughts screamed. You knew you were supposed to react somehow, show some sort of emotion, but you just, couldn't. The sounds of people yelling around you, seemed so distant, your eyes glued to the scene in front of you.
Lia lay there, sprawled across the grass, the area around her head dyed a deep red, turning darker as it blended with the dirt. She wasn't showing any signs of movement, her eyes closed, her breathing shallow.
Campers surrounded her, trying to get close enough to tend to her, but no one wanted to come near you. They built a circle around you, murmuring amongst themselves, a few yelling for a counselor to come over. Even then, you stayed glued to your spot.
Suddenly, someone grabbed you from the front, attempting to shake you out of your stupor.
"Y/n, what the fuck happened!?"
You focused your eyes, looking up, your mind still absent.
"Y/n!" Alex yelled at you to snap out of it, worry and concern plastered across his face.
"Al, I-" You started, you thoughts finally catching up with you. Your words got caught in your throat, along with a sob, as you looked back at your friend on the ground.
Alex started pushing you out of the crowd, away from the scene, his grip still holding your arms tight. You could see counselors gathering around Lia from over his shoulder, the campers building a wall around them, slowly blocking your view. A few looked back at you, with an expression that was painfully familiar.
"Alex, I- I didn't-" You muttered, dry sobbing as you slowly started to comprehend what had happened. Your vision blurred, as tears threatened to stream out.
He stopped you once you were both far enough away from the commotion. He glanced back for a second, before quickly turning away, his hands shaking as he continued to hold onto you.
He tightened his grip and looked you straight in the eyes, before hugging you tightly.
"It'll be ok, you hear me." He said, sounding like he was holding in his own sobs, his voice faint as he spoke. "It'll be ok."
That was the only lie he had ever told you.

You never thought that one week could pass by so quickly. Your first week of school was...uneventful? It seemed like a pretty strong word, considering where you were, but it was fairly surprising when nothing big happened. You had normal classes in the mornings, and all your class did during heroics classes was individual training. No obstacle courses, or impossible tasks, just, personal training.
Apparently Mr. Aizawa wanted to 'observe' everyone, to see how far we've advanced, and it sort of made sense, but you somehow expected more. You weren't complaining though, some part of you was seriously glad you didn't have to train with anyone else. For more reasons then one.
Extra classes didn't take place this week, and honestly, you weren't complaining. You could barely keep up with you normal courses. Mr. Aizawa said that you and Shinso needed to get used to the class first, so atleast we know he doesn't totally want to kills us.
You'd gotten to know the rest of your classmates as well. They really crowded around you during the first few days, especially Midorya. Most of them seemed less bizarre the more you spent time with them, and others were purple and the size of a football. The stupid blond was the only one avoiding you. It wasn't like you were putting much effort into connecting with him either, but Bakugo seemed to be keeping his distance. It's not like you minded, you weren't exactly in the mood to get yelled at, and you admit that the last time you talked didn't exactly go to well.
