Your eyes shot open so fast, your pupils contracted in pain. Not a moment after, every muscle in your body followed.

Your first gasp for air felt like you were inhaling needles. Your upper body jerked up so fast, you thought your head would fly off of your neck, leaving you even more disoriented. You had the urge to let out a scream, but all you could manage were muffled sounds of panic.

Even after all that, your eyes couldn't seem to focus. Your mind was on edge, not sure what to perceive first. All the conflicting sensations made it feel like you were listening to a hundred voices at once, all of which were yelling, yet you couldn't seem to hear a single one clearly. Figures seemed to be moving in front of you, causing dark spots to form across your blurry vision.

Your breathing accelerated, just as you felt someone grab your arms. Pain shot up your body at the physical touch, causing you to cringe. You could hear muffled sounds, but you couldn't recognize any of them, causing your panic to grow.

Your hands went up to grab your ears in reflex, not sure what was going on, but what ever was holding your arms wouldn't let you. The sounds continued, not sounding any less muted, leaving your ears wishing they could either hear them clearly, or not at all

You closed your eyes again, the bright light starting to make them water. You needed to remove something sensory before your brain exploded, and sight didn't seem to be available at the moment anyway.

Your nerves were all so overstimulated you thought they would tear through your skin. The pressure left your arms, where the person had grabbed you, just as the pain started becoming unbearable. You sighed out, rushing to hold your ears shut, but someone beat you to it.

You could feel someones hands, grab hold of your head, firm yet more gentle than you'd ever been held. You were so shocked by the contact, that every one of your systems shut down.

Your mind went blank, and you froze, eyes still shut, watering at the edges. You could feel their hold tightening, as you heard the first clear words, since you had woken up.

"Breath. You're ok. Just breath."

They were so faint, you weren't quite sure you had even heard them correctly, but you were sure someone had spoken. They were so close you could feel the warmth of their breath against your face.

You hadn't realized that you'd been holding your own breath until you let out a shaky sigh. Your thoughts still blank, shocked by the gesture.

Their grip didn't loosen, but there warmth now seemed farther away. You knew you wouldn't be able to see anything, yet you still tried to open your eyes.

Just as you were about to, your head went light, causing your already dark vision to somehow go blurry.

The feeling of warmth, the hands on your face gave off, slowly faded. You wanted to grab out, yearning to hold onto to that feeling you couldn't quite name, but your body felt more numb than it had before. You hadn't realized in how much pain you were, until it all, suddenly, stopped hurting.

Then, for the second time in what had felt like seconds, everything went black.

____

Your eyes opened, before anything else happened, leaving you staring at the lamp above you before your thoughts could keep up. White spots danced along your line of sight, leaving you questioning how many lamps were actually avove you.

Barely seconds later you shot up right, the remaining adrenaline in your body, forcing you to be alert. Your head pulsated as you looked around hastily, trying to understand what was happening. Everything around you was so white it hurt to look around, your eyes having to adjust even further just to get a glimpse of it all. All you could see was you laying on a bed, surrounded by curtains, but not much else was clear.
