Hours later, Lumine woke up in the same place that she fells asleep. She stayed there for a minute then looked up and saw Xiao was actually asleep. She smiled and let him sleep. Lumine carefully got up without disturbing him.

She started to make food for him when he wakes up. Lumine made him his favorite, Almond Tofu.

When it was done she set it up nicely and waited for him to wake up. She also kept it warm before it got cold.

A little while later, Xiao finally started to wake up. Lumine was making sure the food didn't get cold and was cleaning her weapon. Xiao looked at the food and then asked "What's this?" Lumine then looked at him with a smile and answered "I made you your favorite!" Xiao then took a bite and loved it. To him it tasted perfect.

Xiao finished eating and then said "thank you." Lumine was surprised but smiled and said "you're welcome." Lumine then asked "Why are you still with me? Don't you have better things to do?" Xiao then looked at her and said "Like I said before Paimon is not here right now so I'm here to make sure you don't get into trouble." She looked at him with an 'Awe' face and Xiao looked away and said "Don't look at me like that it's not that big of a deal."

They then got ready to set off again and they both hope they don't run into that much trouble like before. When they were done getting ready, they started to set off again.

They were a couple hours into the journey and on the way there were some Hilichurls but they were nothing for the duo. They then saw the tall building of Mondstadt. Lumine got really excited and started to run to it. Xiao yelled for her to wait but no luck so her groaned and started to run after her.

Lumine haven't been to Mondstadt in so long. She missed her friends so much. She got into Mondstadt she slowed down and waited for Xiao. When Xiao caught up to her he was out of breath "Why do you run so fast?" She laughed a little and then started to walk to the Tavern.

When they got the the Tavern, Lumine quickly went in. She saw Diluc and went up to him. "Hey Master Diluc!" She said with a smile. Diluc then turned to her and said "Oh hey Lumine how you doing today? Also welcome back." "Thanks! And I'm doing great today!" Xiao then walked up to them. "Oh who's this?" Diluc asked looking at Xiao. "Oh yeah this is Xiao." Lumine introduced Xiao to Diluc. "Well nice to meet you, Xiao." "Nice to meet you too, Master Diluc."

They all talked for a little until the sun was going down. Diluc offered them a room in the Angel Share. Xiao and Lumine went up to the room and got settled in. Lumine jumped on the bed and laid down. Luckily there were two bed and Lumine picked her bed already. Lumine got up and got ready for bed. When she was done she got in her bed and got under the covers. She fell asleep very quickly.

Xiao sat on the bed watching over Lumine. He wouldn't admit to anyone but he liked traveling with her. She was so happy all the time and to be honest he loved it. He felt accepted. He missed feeling that way. She was so kind and caring. She talks to him like a normal person and friend. She didn't care about the karmic debt. She just cared about him as a friend.

He didn't realize but he might have fallen for her hard. How could he not. She's beautiful, sweet, and amazing. She was even strong. He also loved that she hasn't stopped looking for her brother.

He didn't realized but he was staring at her and smiling. She was always on his mind. All hours of the day, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He didn't notice but it was 1 am already. He decided to just lay down and make sure Lumine was safe and ok.

A hour later, Xiao saw Lumine start to shake probably because she was having a nightmare. He quickly got up and go over to her. He sat on the edge of the bed and started to rub her back. It started to calm her down so he continued.

He was there for hours making sure she was ok and rubbing her back. The sun was starting to come up and Lumine started to wake up. Xiao stopped rubbing her back and waits for her to sit up. She finally sat up and he said "Good morning." She looked at him and said "Good morning! Were you right there the entire night?" He nodded and she asked "Wait why?" Xiao answered "Because you were shaking so I was calming you down." She then looked at him with an 'awe' face. He looked away blushing.

After that, they both got ready for the next day. They walked down to the Tavern. They said hi to Diluc and then told him that they were gonna go walk around and say hi to other people but they will be back soon. After they they left the Tavern.

They walked around awhile and saw Keaya, Amber, Jean, and Lisa. They continued to walk around and then went to the Barbatos statue. Lumine looked up at it and smiled. She was remembering the memories with Venti. Xiao looked at Lumine and saw her face which was smiling. She was so happy to be back in Mondstadt. She missed this place so much. She was extra happy because she was with Xiao. Little did he know but she has loved his company so much. She didn't want it to end. They then heard a voice behind them saying "Oh welcome back, Traveler"
