the sun is here after days of rain,
of unspeakable worry, unmistakable pain;
like walking through bridge made of glass,
how we all wish this too shall pass

not really new to this battlefield;
we went to fight this through and healed
some are sad, many are broken;
all surprised and are awaken

others left to mend what's shaterred,
but most knew what really mattered
caught off-guard indeed we are
but my dear you are all a beautiful star

a calm after the storm that passed
each one of you are, no need to ask
while we drown in our worry and fear
you tap our backs and assure it's clear

a war with time can be daunting
sounds of silence is always haunting
and now with you we want to say
we appreciate you making the way

simple gestures drown out the noise
means a lot for us to all rejoice
tough time indeed makes best moment
a real good omen, a silent agreement

like the clichés of life we oughta know
at the end of it all comes a rainbow
to all the years you chose your dream
many days you did not scream but gleam

your happiness is for you to decide
