"What are you doing?" Emi's bloodshot eyes glared at Dylan who stretched his arms wide at her, when she approached him after bidding her mother farewell.
"I received word from heaven stating that a cute lady in a yellow dress needed a hug so I came as the stand-in." It was a make-believe lie but it comforted Emi a bit. Maybe bringing Dylan along today wasn't that bad of an idea after all.
If it was any other day, Emi would kick him in the shin but she didn't feel like doing it at the moment. She sighed in defeat. She really longed for a hug so why not. "Well, I wouldn't want to turn down a blessing from the heavens above." Emi went to his arms, and snuggled tight into him.
Even if Dylan was the one who offered it, he was still stunned that it worked. It made him glad that he shoot his shot this time.
Sometimes, it amazes Emi on how Dylan's firm muscles could feel so warm in its embrace. Like she wasn't the touchy type of person—because that irks her each time— but with him, it was like the perfect life sized stuffed bear that she'd want to keep. And it was exactly what she needed in this sombre day.

"Tell me, how many women have you brought to bed?" Dylan choked on his cup noodles when Emi blurted that out as they were having lunch in a small convenience store, near the bus stop.
Fortunately, there wasn't anyone else inside the place as they were sitting beside each other, facing the glass wall so no one else could hear Emi's random inquiry. Except the male cashier who had the best view of Dylan's back—even guys can appreciate that—who overheard it, and was trying to stifle his laugh. He can only hope that this hot guy in specs wouldn't get dumped here, in the middle of a desolate location.
"Come again? I must have misheard—"
"You clearly heard me the first time, Dylan. Answer the damn question already." Emi's tone was serious as she sipped on the soup part of her big cup of noodles while simultaneously munching on a sandwich. These two decided to have bite first before going back because Emi's hunger is priority.
"But Emi—"
"Dylan. If you're worried that I might judge you or make a big fuss about it after, don't. I'm honestly just curious." These kind of inquiries were something that present girlfriends usually avoid asking but for Emi, her interest got the best of her. She was like Pandora that can't help but open that box that shouldn't be unwrapped in the first place.
"Is this possibly the talk that you were referring to in that message last night?" He asked her back as he moved sidewards to face her.
Not that he really was adamant on hiding this side of himself because there was nothing much to cover up about it for everyone is well-aware about that kind of life of his. However, he wanted to clear that out first if all Emi really wanted to know was this.
For he literally almost lost his mind in panic this dawn for this so-called talk—thinking it might lead into something huge—but it was simply a question about his sex life?
"Hmmm..partly, yes." Emi revealed as she continued to face front, where there were a few people passing by and stopped for a second to look at Dylan twice, while Emi was munching on her food.
She didn't only want to know about this, because of that incident from the other day, but she also felt like it wasn't a bad idea either to get to know him better.
Meanwhile, for Dylan, he knew that he had to answer her query or else, Emi might really get pissed.
"Emi, honestly, I..I don't know how—"
