'Where the heck are you,anyway?' My beta Luke asked. 'In the woods in front of the Pack House,there will be a small little river. I will meet you there in five minutes.' I answered quickly and blocked them from my head.
My paws quickly led me along a well-used path of mine. I don't think any other wolf knew about this secretive place. Well,other than Luke and James. I inhaled deeply,loving the sweet aroma that wafted into my nostrils. My mother had shown me this river. I thought every wolf in our pack would know about it,but nobody else did.
It amazed me how nobody else knew about this place. It was right under their noses,and nobody really expected it! My nose twitches as I detected the scent of two wolves. I slowly turned my head to the right,angling my ears behind me. 'Hey,Alpha,' one of the two said. I nodded my head to the one who spoke, a dark mahogany male. 'Luke,you got here fast,' I commented dryly. The other wolf,a bright white,tensed up slightly, unsure of his surroundings. 'Its ok here,Peter. I've been here plenty of times,'I laughed quietly. Peter lowered his head to the ground, and began to sniff around.
Luke growled at him,and Peter narrowed his eyes. 'I smell something different. Its smelling like blood,but like metal at the same time.' I snarled. Vampires. 'I thought vampires didn't live around here, you two,' I snapped,whipping around tonglare at them. Both wolves gazed at the water, and I regretted snapping at them. 'Look,I'm sorry. You guys didn't know they were here.' I said. Both of them looked at me, than nodded their heads.
This was going to be a long few hours.
