A few days have passed and Ruby is brightening up.. Whenever I bring up a question concerning why she has been moody,she avoids the question..

I throw a chip in my mouth and I stare at Ruby as she listens to music with her headphones..

Damn. She loves music

I throw another chip into my mouth as I study her.. Her pink lips,blue intense eyes.. Black hair..

She opens her eyes and notices me..

"Why are you staring?"

I shrug

She raises an eyebrow and shrugs it off

The bell that marks the end of lunch rings..

"Do you still wanna tell me what's wrong?"

"I don't know you too well to let you know that kind of information" she replies

Then she walks away,blending with other students who are making their way out of the cafeteria..

Still pondering in my thoughts,I bump into Kelly..

"Sorry" I say moving away to have enough breathing space.

"It's okay" she replies

"Yeah. Bye"

"Wait.. Jason" she calls out

I wait,wondering what she has to say..

"Why have we become so distant?" She asks

"I don't have an answer to that"

"But I wanna know," she takes a step closer. "Is it because of Derek?"

"Hell no" I whisper before walking away..

You don't talk to me that way at a Chinese restaurant without an apology,and you expect me to act like nothing happened..

Someone's gotta learn her manners..

The school day finally ends,and I just spend some more time with Ace and Dante before driving off..

I get home,change and I make me something to eat..

Then my phone buzzes.. It's Ruby..

  I'm not angry.. Days back,you were acting all weird and I cared to ask,but you were showing off some shitty attitude..

Minutes pass,and she still hasn't replied..
I read the message again.. Okay,I think I said too much..
She might actually be going through something..

I turn off my phone and I feel bad now,I close my eyes and drift off into dreamland..

The next day at school,
Ruby hasn't still showed up, and I'm getting a bit worried.. Classes have gone by, and it's finally lunch..
I'm at our usual table with the guys. Just when I turn my attention to the door, Ruby walks in with her headphones plugged in, her bag slung over her shoulder and a damn serious expression that makes anyone scared to approach her..
