~Chapter 1~

~Shadow~

It started off as a normal day, going back to school after a very short lived, and uneventful summer, It started by all students going to meet their teachers and to get a layout of where the classes where. Most of the other kids from the prior school year where there as-well, everyone always bullied me and claimed me as gay, I wasn't sure of my sexuality at that time, I am still unsure. But we had started to go to a school assembly to finish off the day, but that is when I noticed a cute fox, and at that moment I knew we had to be friends.

It was after school, I was driving home from school, and I was unaware of what was going on around me, I kept my focus on the road and I couldn't stop thinking about that fox. Not long after I had started to daze away and think of that fox, I had pulled into my driveway. I sat in my car and just thought about the fox, I snapped out of it and realized I don't even know their name, or if they are male or female. "I am a total mess" I mumbled to myself. I opened the door of my car, I then walked into the house.

After opening the door, I stepped into the house and greeted my mom. My dad was still working so he could feed us and pay for the house. After saying hi to my mom, I went into the kitchen to make a snack, I decided that I just wanted to go to my room instead. I walk down the stairs into the basement, I open the door to my room and I just start to tear up. That is when I realized how mentally destroyed I am, after what I have been through. I just decided to go online and try to find this fox on every social media I had, I searched for two hours, but then my dad came home, I stumbled up the stairs, and walked into the living room. "Hello dad" I said. "hello son" he preached. After I greeted my dad, we started to eat. "Hey Shadow, did you see any cute girls at school?" my dad asked. My dad is very homophobic, I am unsure about my mother however.

"Anyway, How was work dad?" I responded trying to change the conversation. "So you did, what does she look like?" my dad questioned me with excitement. I just continued to keep quiet, I finished eating and went to my room. When I got to my room I decided that I was gonna shower and go to bed.
