Rhea can't think of anything worse than transfiguration being the first lesson on the first day. As she sits in her seat she hears the obnoxious laugh that she swears haunts her nightmares.

She drops her face into her hands and groans, is this some sort of punishment to be put with Gryffindors. With her cousin and Potter.

Rhea prays when she hears the seat beside her pull back that Evan or Kathleen have arrived on time for once. As she looks out of the corner of her eye and sees the glasses she knows. Merlin never bloody listens to her prayers.

"Hello, Black. You look beyond pleased to see me." James Potter smirks back at her.

"What do you want, Potter? I am saving this seat so if you would kindly leave. I promise I won't cry because your presence has left."

Potter just shakes his head, starting to get his textbook and quill out. "No can do, sorry."

"And why is that?"

"I refuse to sit next to Snape or Avery." His eyes travel to the only other two seats available. "Where are you bloody going?"

As Rhea starts to pick up her bag, she shrugs, "Rather Snape than you."

As she says that Kathleen slips into the seat next to Snape. James scoffs, "Oh please don't tell me you're going to sit next to Avery. He's a creep."

"Rather you than Avery," Rhea retakes her seat, getting her book out.

Rhea grins watching as Evan takes the only seat available next to Avery. When professor McGonagall walks in, stopping Evan from begging or bribing someone to swap with him.

Evan is going to be in a foul mood after and she's going to have to be quick escaping, less she wants to hear his long rant over Avery and his menacing personality.

She loves Evan dearly, but he has a flair for dramatics and he can rant over the same thing for hours. Sometimes, on rare occasions, they were quite amusing yet this one won't be the case.

As Rhea looks around the class she wonders why Potter sat next to her.

Sirius and Lupin are sitting next to each other. Pettigrew is next to some Gryffindor; she doesn't have a clue his name. Honestly, did he have to punish her? Evan and Kathleen wound him up yesterday as well.

"As you all know O.W.L.s are this year, you must pay the utmost attention. Today we are going to be talking about Vanishing spells until the next lesson when we will start practising. Now please talk to your partner about what you know about the vanishing spell."

They both have every intention of ignoring each other.

"Mr Potter Miss Black you two don't seem to be speaking to each other."

They both know better than to protest or ignore her. Hell has no wrath like professor Minnie. "The spell is used to vanish animate or inanimate objects."

Rhea looks at him, she sees why girls fancy him (not that she would ever admit it out loud, Merlin forbid.) The way his hair, that Rhea has spent the past five years saying is horrendous, isn't so bad, the little curls at the bottom and the way it falls over his eyes no matter how many times he tries to move it.

His brown eyes are never filled with anything other than pure happiness. The smile that he wears so carelessly, that seems to be mildly contagious.

Rhea shakes her head at such ludicrous thoughts. Yes, she admits, he is fit. Would she ever admit it out loud or to him? No, his ego is big enough and Evan would never let her live it down.
