I sat on the couch painting my nails, I looked at the clock. 3:37 AM. Ruby still wasn't home. I sighed and blew on my hands. I heard the door know rattling, Ruby walked in with a girl that had black hair. "Hey, why are you still up?" She asked. "I'm going over over Brooke's house. I was just painting my nails." I said fixing my oversized shirt.
"Okay, this is my girlfriend. Her name is Eleanor." Ruby introduced her. "Nice to meet you. Have fun, or whatever." I said standing up and walking to my room. I accidentally slammed the door. "OH FUCKING HELL!" I yelled laughing. I was on call with Brooke, she died of laughter. "Shut up, I didn't even mean too." I laughed. "Do you think they're gonna fuck though?" She asked laughing. "Shut up Brooke! She's my roommate not my girlfriend. I couldn't care less. Also, I'm spending the night with you. I'm not staying here tonight." I laughed.
"Okay, bring a bathing suit. We're going swimming in my pool." She smiled. "Okay, I love you, see you soon." I blew a kiss and hung up. Brooke has been my best friend since 10th grade. I grabbed my bag and threw two pairs of clothes in it and my bathing suit. I walked out of my room after slipping on my shoes. "Hey, are you spending the week there?" Ruby laughed. She was wearing a tank top and her underwear. "Uh, maybe. I'm spending the night with her though. I'll be back for clothes if I end of spending the week with her." I said smiling sarcastically.
"Alright, bye." She said walking over to give me a hug. "Nope, forehead kiss. I don't wanna hug you right now. I dunno where you've been." I laughed. "Shut up." She rolled her eyes and let me kiss her forehead. "Later Ruby." I said looking at the door. I walked down to my car and drove over to Brooke's house. I walked in and saw her in her bathing suit. "Damn, I see you, Brooke." I walked over to her and hugged her. "Go change, I'll be in the pool." She winked and ran out to the pool. I laughed and changed in the bathroom. I asked out to the pool and jumped in. "Hey, what's up with you and Ruby?" She asked as we sat on the stairs of the pool. "She has a girlfriend. I got harassed by paparazzi on the street and I just don't wanna be in the loft with her." I shrugged. "Damn, she looked hella fine though. You gotta admit it." She said laughing. "Yeah yeah, I wanna see what people are saying about the pictures that were taken." I said and grabbed my phone. "Okay, here's a great one. "She's the owner of the Flower shop that I got floral arrangements from. They would look so cute together." 488 people liked that comment." I laughed. "You guys would." She laughed. "Why is Ruby calling you?" She asked laughing still. "I might have to answer it." I giggled. I answered and put it on speaker. "Hello, you've reached the phone of a bad bitch what can I do for you?" Brooke said. "Where's Summer?" Ruby asked. "I'm right here what's up?" I laughed. "They know everything about you now, your mother's maiden name of your old high school, your exes. They know our fucking address." Ruby said worried. "Who?" I asked getting out of the pool. "A reporter followed us back to the building and took pictures of you walking in and walking out." She said. "Do they know for sure that it is our building?" I asked hesitantly. "No, some fans think it's just a friends building or a family member." I thought for a second. "Tell your fans and reporters that the building in those photos isn't our building it's an employee of mines. I was dropping some stuff off." I said. "Okay..I tweeted "the building in those pictures isn't our building it's one of Summer's employees. She needed to drop off something they forgot at the Flower Shop." Is that good?" She asked. "Yeah, can we just keep my name out of this now? In a week there will be a new scandal that everyone will be talking about, they won't even remember me." I said sighing.
"Okay, have a good night. See you tomorrow." She said quietly. "Good night Ruby. Get some sleep." I smiled to myself. She mumbled something then hung up. I put my phone down and jumped into the pool.
"Dude! My hair!!" Brooke yelled laughing. "Get over it!" I yelled back. She tried to dunk me but failed miserably. "I love you." I laughed. "I love you too." She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her and got a little bit carried away.
I woke up next to Brooke, she was still asleep. I kissed her forehead and got dressed. "I'll see you later, have a good day." She said kissing me. I nodded and she went back to sleep. I walked into the store and greeted my other friend. "Hey, thanks. Have a nice day." I said as Cora left.
I texted Brooke and FaceTimed her. "Hey, I'm gonna go home after work. I'll pick my stuff up after you get off." I said smiling at the fact she just woke up. "Okay, see you then best friend." She smiled and hung up. I rolled my eyes and smiled as two women and a little girl walked in. "Hello, what are you lovely ladies looking for today?" I smiled and waved at the little girl. "We're having a picnic for our little girl's birthday and she wanted daffodils. Do you have any?" The woman on the right said. "Yes of course, if you would follow me back here I can show you the selections." I smiled and lead them to the back of the store. "Mommy! I want those!" The little girl said pointing to the white daffodils. "Okay, honey. Can we get those?" The woman smiled as the other woman laughed. "Of course, would you like to write a note for the little one?" I asked smiling. "Sure, come on Summer." The woman said to the kid. "Hey, that's my name, we have the same name! " I said smiling and handing the little girl the flowers.
"Cool!" The girl laughed. I smiled and walked back behind the cashier's desk. "Since it's a special occasion I'll lower the price. Ten dollars even." I smiled. "Okay, here you go." The taller woman said. "Thanks, would you guys like to write the note now?" I asked. The women nodded and the one on the left stepped forward to write it. "Let mommy see the flowers." The woman said. She gave me the flowers so I could put the note on the bouquet. I handed the flowers back and they left smiling. I rolled my eyes and got a message from Ruby. It read 'going to the interview tonight do you want to come to another interview on Friday with me? My manager said I should invite you.' I thought about it and decided 'what's the worst thing that can happen?' I texted her and told her I would go. She replied with a heart and a smiling emoji. I laughed and waved to Brooke walking in. "Hey, see you later. I get off at 3 since I'm taking Friday off." She informed me. I nodded and walked out to my car. I drove home and hoped Ruby's girlfriend left, I walked in after unlocking the door and saw her sitting on the couch. "Hey, Ruby's in the bathroom getting ready." She smiled and ate my ice cream, MY ICE CREAM. "Okay...thanks." I said putting my keys on the rack.
She smiled and nodded, I rolled my eyes as she got up to throw away the empty container of ice cream. Ruby walked out and smiled when she saw me. "Hey, I thought you got off work at 1 on Wednesdays?" She asked and hugged me. "Brooke took my hours since she's taking Friday off." I smiled. "Got it, I was about to take El home. Do you wanna come with us?" She asked. "I gotta change, is that okay?" I asked. She nodded and grabbed an apple. I walked to my room and changed into this.
I let my hair down and brushed it, I walked out and smiled. "I'm ready, let's go." I said grabbing my wallet and putting it in my pocket. They both nodded and we walked down to Ruby's car. "I call shotgun." I said smiling. I woke up and chose 'try me hoe'. I got in the passenger seat and smiled to myself. After we dropped Eleanor off, Ruby wanted coffee so we drove to Dunkin to get coffee. "What do you wanna do now? The interview doesn't start for another hour." She asked stopping at a red light. "I don't really care, I'm tired as fuck though." I yawned, I stayed up till 3 in the morning with Brooke and I had to wake up at 5:45 to drive to the shop.
