FRED POV

Fred couldn't sleep that night. His mind continued shifting from the girl he loved so dearly for years to the girl he saw few hours ago.

The girl he had adored so much was a striking beautiful brunette. Tanned skin and had a lot of class. She had dark brown eyes and dark lips yet very attractive. Well for him. She was tall which must have taken away her feminine curves but that wasn't what he wanted or loved about her. He did not care about physical beauty. Besides, she was still young, not yet late to blossom so more.

He loved the way she chatted with him and spoke on the phone. He loved her voice although she had refused to talk to him except on phone.

He had dismissed it as her parents wishes. After all her behavior seemed as if she would never be caught dead with any poor person.

She was one of the richest kid in town. Happy White. The daughter of Marcus White.

But the girl he saw tonight was very different. Very different. No brown hair but red instead. No dark lips but pink ones. She wasn't that tall and was curvy. Her hips struggled to tear and escape the tight black dress she wore which was obviously old and ancient. She was much fuller upstairs and had flawless glass skin that shown under the light of the study.

Her green eyes were mesmerizing and beautiful. She was indeed physically beautiful but he still wants his Happy. The one he knew before.

But the girl he just saw was Happy White.

But they are totally different. He knows she could have changed to the difference he saw today could not have been done by growth and maturity.

They were different people that was for sure.

But he needs to give his gift to the real Happy.

Something in his guts tells him the Happy he saw today could help him.

He tossed and turned on his king sized bed. The duvet was partly on the bed and partly on the floor.

'What's going on?' he asked himself but no reply came. He did not know how this was possible.

There must be a foul play here. He always saw the Happy he knew in her house. She owns that mansion.

But what about this Happy he saw today?

Maybe she just moved into the town and had the same surname. 'That is a possibility.' he thought. After all, she never said that mansion was hers.

That settled that but he still needed to find the real Happy.

"I need something to drink." He announced to himself. He had work in the morning and could not sleep just because he's thinking about a girl. A girl who betrayed him.

He got down from his bed. Climbed down the stairs and into the hallway. It was then he noticed the Frescos on the wall. He was stunned. Who the hell told his architect or engineer to add those Frescos?

He will admit it did compliment the place. The hallway was kinda plain and there was nothing to behold there but those art works on the wall made it look beautiful and mysterious. It will surely add a bit of curiosity in the heart of those who saw it.

But he gave direct instructions. They were to build the house exactly as he instructed and nothing more.

He got from confused to mad in minutes. Was this who they have been treating his customers? He doesn't keep the wishes of his customers second but instead it's the first thing he wants. How dare they? They were forcing their own design that might be beautiful but not what the customer wants on them.

Now he has additional work to do when he gets to work tomorrow morning. He groaned but that doesn't mean he's going to let them be. This 'mistake' had to be assured it won't happen again. His business is his family too and he's going to take care of it well.

He did not continue his quest to get a glass of milk because of insomnia but instead went back upstairs and into his room. When he's inside, he quickly scanned the place for his phone.

His room was always in other and clean. His ceiling to floor glass window allowed the light of the sky's stars and moon to brighten up the room.

But apparently it wasn't enough as he turned on the light switch for the room to be brighter and enable him to see clearly as he searched for his phone.

He spotted it in the last shelf close to his plasma TV.

He went over and unlocked his latest model of iPhone with his finger print.

He found text messages from his mother. Several. Forty to be precise. And voice mails from her as well.

"Shit." He cursed under his breath. He had forgotten about his mother. He had promised her he would contact her immediately he arrived. 'She must be furious.' He thought and quickly dialed her number. He knew she wouldn't be asleep as Eden and New York had a time difference of three hours. It must have been nine o'clock at that side.

It rang twice. The third time, she picked up.

"Hello mom." He said softly and quietly.

But his mother did not use that tone with him. She was obviously furious with her Son, she had been worried sick.

"Where are you?!" She yelled.

"At my house. In Eden." He replied calmly nevertheless.

"Why didn't you call sooner? We agreed as soon as the plane landed right?" She continued, "besides I was hoping you would call about the surprise I arranged for your return there. How was it?" She asked.

"It was wonderful. Thanks. And I'm for not calling sooner, I had other things in my mind at the moment. So sorry." He apologized.

"Okay then. Good bye and try to sleep. You should be sleeping by now sweetheart. Please I beg of you, don't be a workaholic there at Eden too." His mother begged.

"Yes Mrs Nina Daniel." He said in a mocking business man voice and chuckled.

"I'm serious!" She yelled again. " Go drink some milk. Oh and I almost forgot, Angelica sends her greetings." With that she hung up.

He rolled his eyes. He knew what his mother was trying to do.

But she was right. He had forgotten about her.
He's been thinking about Happy White. The girl that hurt him. He was being foolish.

The girl his engaged to is perfect for him. She's definitely a wife material and she definitely won't let down.

But the current situation still can't leave him in peace. He needs to settle things. Fulfill his promise then forget her for good.

He quickly send a text message to his employees telling them to see him in the morning.

Then he went to Facebook and searched for Happy White.

Yup. Lot's of Happy White showed but he did not miss the one of a ginger red haired girl smiling widely flaunting her beautiful white teeth.

He clicked add friend.
