chapter twenty four

Fred POV

"Here then." I handed the towel to Happy but I didn't break eye contact with her. 

She kept looking at me straight in the eye and I couldn't break the eye contact either. 

Her eyes were widen and she was so close. I could feel her breath on my skin and her eyes were just mesmerizing. 

Her green eyes sparkle and she collected the towel from me as a smile appeared on her lips. 

"Thank you so much boss for nursing me today. Whenever you want something please let me know and I'll gladly do it for you without hesitation." She said without blinking her eyes once. 

She room wasn't really very bright but from the little light in here I could tell she was feeling much better. 

Well I know she wasn't fine yet but she has a little color on her face now. Her lips were not so dry anymore and her smile was much prettier seeing it wasn't forced. 

I nodded. 

My heart pounded in chest and it ached. 

I was getting a feeling I had never felt before and I wasn't too happy about it. I did not know how I feel and that's a bother for me. 

"You should sleep now." I told her. 

"Okay but do you still want me to rest here?" She asked, her lips still in a smile. They were pink like cherry and i wonder if she wore lipstick. No that can't be cause she just took a shower. 

Her dimples were on her face and she looked really beautiful. 

I wonder how a girl like her ended up all alone. Perhaps she has a boyfriend. She can't say she doesn't, who would see her and just leave her alone? She was a natural beauty and I'm sure many guys are trying to win her heart. 

"Do you really live all alone with no one?" I asked her and she nodded. 

"No boyfriend even?" 

Her smile left her lips and I regret asking her that. I missed her smile already, it was really beautiful and I didn't want her to stop smiling.

"Umm if you..." I started to say but she quickly shook her head. 

"No, no boyfriend at all. I leave all alone." She answered. 

"Umm if I may ask, no boyfriend you said but does that mean you don't leave with your boyfriend or you don't have a boyfriend?" 

"Both." She laughed. After which a smile remained on her lips and she was like an angel. My heart skipped a beat and I suddenly realized what was going on."Sir I'm perfectly fine on my own." She concluded. 

Gosh, again? Why? When did this even start? Just when did I develop this thing?!

"But that doesn't mean you like it that way." I retaliated and her smile left again. Shit. "But umm I won't prey into your personal life. If that's how you like it then it's totally fine." I shrugged and I finally looked away from her. 

My heart pounding like a drum in my chest. 

I said I wouldn't give my heart out that easily... and I won't. This isn't legit yet. 

It could be because she's really beautiful and I was smitten by it but it isn't love. I don't want anyone into this heart again. The ones in here are already enough. 

"Thank you boss for your kindness. Your a good person." She smiled at me again. 

"What makes you think so? Just cause I took care of you doesn't mean I'm a good person."
