I woke up in a pool of my own sweat. I panicked and ran to the bathroom. I quickly turned the water on wand washed my face. What did that dream mean? Who was Jeff? I looked down at my reflection in the sink. "Its official, I'm going mad." I whispered to myself. I looked up at the mirror. There was Jeff, the boy from my dream. I quickly whipped around only to find nothing but the phrase 'go to sleep' written on the wall. As I was trying to calm myself down, I noticed that the writing on the wall had began to clot. Wait. I looked closer and the writing had indeed began to clot. "That better not be blood. Please don't let it be blood." Of course, I just had to touch it. "GROSS" I shouted. It was warm, and nasty, and smelled like blood. I quickly washed my hands and ran down stairs. No one was in the kitchen or dining room. "Mum? Dad?" Well this is odd. Usually breakfast is ready by now. Oh well. I walked over to the fridge to find a note.

Dear Nala,
I'm sorry but your father and I were both called into work. Our boss said it was an emergency. We don't know how long it'll be until we get home. We know you'll be able to feed yourself so don't call us saying that theres no food, because we already checked. You have food. We already fed Lucifer, so don't worry about him. Call us if you need too.
-Mum

I opened the fridge and grabbed the carton of milk. I grabbed a bagel and just as I was about to go to my room I hear a meow. I looked up to see that damn cat on top of the cupboard. "What do you want? Are you just going to sit there on your lazy ass? Or are you here to mock me and my madness?" I asked it. It simply jumped and rubbed against my legs. "Why the sudden urge to show me affection? You've hated me for years?" It looked up at me. I instantly recognized those eyes. They were Liu's. I bent down and asked it "Is it really you Liu?" "You are here to end the madness Nala." Before I could reply the cat's eyes changed from blue to brown within seconds. I tried to pet the cat but it hissed at me. "Same to you, damn cat." I said whilst irritated. I really have gone mad.
