I woke up screaming. I tried to get up but the cat was on my chest. "You again cat?" I looked out the window to see that it was already night time. That also means that mum and dad should be home. I got up and went to go down stairs. At the bottom of the staircase I saw someone I hoped I'd never see in person, Jeff. He looked me in the eye then started running towards me. Iran back into my room and slammed the door shut. I ran to my desk and barricaded the door as fast as I could. I could hear him trying to open the door. I think I could even hear him trying to use this knife to break his way in. I turned around and looked for a good hiding place. My eyes widened when I saw what had been done to my room. Someone had written "I was your city" all over the walls and ceiling.
I was suddenly pulled into my closet. I was about to scream but someone had covered my mouth. "Nala it's me. Calm down." The boy said trying to calm me down. I know who that voice belonged to. Liu took his hand away trusting that I wouldn't scream. "Liu?" I whispered "I thought you were dead?" "I am, but I don't have much time to explain. I am your only allie here. You are here to end the madness. Everything will be okay, no matter what. I was your city but I will always be your city. Nala, I l-" his body went limp. "Liu?" I called out as tears started to leave my eyes. "Speak to me Liu. Please! Liu! Stay with me! This place is horrible, wretched, my wonderland has gone mad! How am I supposed to end the madness?! How?! Liu!" I continued to cry, I hasn't even smelled the smoke until it was too late. I could hear a dark, demonic voice whispering. My memories flashing past my eyes. The last thing I had heard before I passed out was: "I am wonderland and wonderland is mine!"
