My stupid alarm goes off the next morning and I want to do nothing more than chuck it out the window.
I hate mornings.
As usual breakfast isn't ready yet so I walk out and wait for Michael to arrive.
He stops by the gate and Calliope seems overjoyed to see me. "Good morning, Sienna." she says, her voice way too chirpy.
I glare at her before I hang my head in my hands.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am fine but Michael, could you please stop at a Starbucks or something. I really haven't had any breakfast." I plead, that and the fact that I need coffee in my system.
He simply nods his head and continues driving us to school. We reach an open Starbucks and I send him to get me a chai latte and then lean back into my seat.
Michael returns with a chocolate muffin and a chai latte a great distraction from my step sister. I sip it and immediately felt better.
I get out of the car once we reach the school and make a beeline for the main door. I bump into a girl in a Berkley cheer uniform and she turns to face me.
"Sienna." It is Morgan.
She is all smiles and make up this morning.
"Hey, morning."
"Come on. Let's go." She says as she nods her head in the direction of the school doors.
We head to a locker where we find Brooke who is busy applying what looks like her tenth layer of lipgloss.
"Does this colour look good on me?" She asks as she puckers her plump lips that are currently bubble gum pink.
"Uh, yeah." I say uneasily.
"Of course it does." Brooke says before she shuts her locker and turns to us.
She raises an eyebrow as if asking what the hell we are doing there.
"Your standing way too close. Mind backing up a bit." Brooke says as she shoos us away.
"Sorry. Here are you're shoes by the way." I say as I hold out the black Versace paper bag I placed them in.
"I need help finding my locker." I ask Morgan as I hand her my schedule.
"Hm, locker 607." Morgan says before she looks around.
"607. That's exactly opposite my locker."Brooke says pointing at a huge blue locker.
"Thanks." I walk over and dial the combination on my schedule and it opens. Finally.
I pull out a couple of notebooks from my bag and then stuff it in my locker.
"Hi guys, hi Sienna." A breathless Flora says as she comes running towards us.
Her hair is not brushed and she has no make up on.
"What happened to you?" Brooke asks glaring at Flora.
"Yeah, you look terrible." Morgan adds.
"Thanks." Flora replies sarcastically. "Anyways, I went Cage Lemming's house last night and I kind of got distracted."
"Ugh, isn't he the one who dated a freshman last semester?" Brooke asks looking disgusted.
"Yeah, so what?" Flora says quick to defend herself.
"That's a real downgrade, Flora." Morgan says meanwhile I stand there confused.
"Whatever. Anyways, I spent the night there and the next thing I know is that I have an hour to get to school."
