When Astrid stepped off the Hogwarts Express, her eyes immediately found her mop of bright red hair that belonged to her older sister which surprised her considering that she had never seen the platform so packed during the Christmas break. A grin lit up her face when she caught the sight of the slightly shorter woman. Her father stood beside his eldest child, and they waved excitedly.
Felix darted past her, his floppy curls bouncing as he sprinted to his father, who caught him with a loud laugh. Astrid had to hand it to the man who did not stumble when Felix launched himself at him.
"Cool it, Ace!" Daniel laughed, patting his back as Astrid finally made it through the bustling crowds of parents and guardians picking their children up to meet her family, "I'm not as young as I used to be."
Felix dropped back to his feet and grinned. He raised his closed fist to his chest and circled it clockwise three times, "Sorry, Dad!" He exclaimed sheepishly.
Astrid smirked at her father's mock stern expression as she swooped in to embrace him, smiling into his chest as he kissed her head. She quickly pulled away and smiled brightly at him.
"Alright, Bug?" He asked, signing the words as he spoke.
"Missed you, is all." She answered the same way.
"Aw, you missed me?" Greta pulled the middle child into a side hug, laughing when Astrid shoved her halfheartedly.
"Why are you here?" Felix questioned.
He and Astrid immediately fell back into signing all of their conversations so Daniel wouldn't miss any of it while attempting to read all of their lips at once.
"Day off." Greta shrugged, slinging an arm over each of their shoulders and pulling their heads closer to hers. She laughed loudly when they both began to complain, "At least pretend to enjoy my presence, Felly."
"Don't call me that," Felix grumbled.
"Alright." Daniel chuckled, stopping the fight before it could start, "Let's get out of here."
On the way to the car, Greta teased Felix over his haircut and laughed at Astrid, who filled her in on her mission to get Percy Weasley to lighten up and leave her alone.
"Good luck with that, A." She giggled, "When I was in my seventh year, that kid caught Lennon and me sneaking out and reported us to Flitwick and Sprout. He was a bloody second year at the time, so I can't imagine what he's like now."
Astrid smiled faintly, "Yeah, sounds like him." She responded as Daniel unlocked the vehicle, "But, I don't know, there's just something about him that's just begging to let loose and so something dumb, you know?"
"I don't." Greta laughed, "I got two weeks detention for that. Lennon got three."
