I walk down the sandy pathway with my bouquet of flowers in my hand as I see Vincenzio start to come into view.
We make eye contact as I slowly but surely make my way to him at the end of the beach by the water.
The pinkish orange sunset illuminates the little ceremony we put together.
We didn't want anything big and Vinny couldn't wait longer than a month. so we chose a small beach wedding with nothing extravagant.

My toes sink into the cold soft sand as I finally make my way to the end and stand in front of him.
I hand my flowers off to my flower girl/ maid of honor lily as I stand up straight and wait for the initiator to start speaking.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here tonight to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony. Who is giving this woman to be married to this man?"
"I am" Alfonso says from behind Vincenzio. He steps in front of me and gives me a kiss on the cheek and stands back in his spot.
"Let's begin, I've been informed that you've written your own vows so who will be going first"
"I will" the pastor nods his head at Vinny to start
Vincenzio grabs my hands and starts his speech. "Amore mia, you have been my best friend, mentor, playmate, confidant, and my greatest challenge. But most importantly, you are the love of my life, and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible. You have made me a better person, as our love for one another is reflected in the way I live my life. So, I am truly blessed to be a part of your life, which as of today becomes our life together." I sniffled trying to keep my tears in as I smile up at him.
I take a deep breath and speak "My Vinny, I promise to love you, to be your heart, to keep a flame alive for you in my heart. When you walked into my life, love walked in, too. I vow to love you as you love me, through all hardship, darkness, and pain to reach for our joys, our hopes, and always with honesty and faith."

We both looked to the small crowd, and it was silent. As it should be, I would be so hurt if I had to beat someone's ass in front of this pastor.

"Us" Dante stands up from his seat in the crowd with his newborn son in his arms and hands us the rings, he sits back in his seat, and we proceed
"Please take the ring you have selected for Myron Davis. As you place it on her finger, repeat after me:
"I Vincenzio Ferrari, give you this ring, as a symbol of my love. I ask you to wear it as a sign to the world that you are my wife. With this ring, I thee wed." He repeats and slides the ring on my finger.

He pulled me in by my waist and gave me a long passionate kiss as the crowd erupted in applause.
