"I know just who I'll dance with!" Meg said.

"Who will you dance with, Jo?" Amy asked. "You know I never dance." Jo replied.

"I can't dance." Beth said sadly. "I'll teach you, Beth." Charlotte said with a smile on her face.

"Why can't we all go to the party?! It's not fair!" Amy whined. "I'm sorry love, you weren't invited. Maybe next time." Charlotte said trying to get her to cheer up.

"Just wear your regular shoes." Jo said. "These fit last winter!" Meg said shoving her into her shoes.

"Meg, those shoes don't fit you." Charlotte said with a fed up tone.

"My nose will simply not look refined." Amy said trying to shape her nose.

"I like your nose." Beth said so faintly that no one could hear her.

"Now, Jo-" Amy started. "Don't touch me, thanks! I already feel ridiculous. I don't want to look it! Jo protested.

"You could be pretty if you tried." Amy said with a tone.

"Hey!" Charlotte said to Amy making her shut up.

"I don't want to go but I wish I could hear all the music." Beth said with a disappointed tone.

"I'll keep it all in my head and try to sing it for you when I get home." Charlotte said with a smile to Beth.

Jo starts working on Meg's hair. Charlotte looks worried that she's going to burn her and Meg.

"Ought they to smoke like that?" Beth said worryingly, while Charlotte was faintly laughing.

"It's the dampness drying." Jo said with absolute confidence.

"What a queer smell, it's like... burnt feathers." Amy said questionably.

"There, now you'll see a perfect little ringlet." Jo said proudly.

Jo removed the tongs to see a clump of burnt hair come up with it. Jo screams and Meg screams because Jo screamed. And Charlotte screamed because Meg screamed. While, Amy was laughing and Beth sat there shook.

"You’re ruined!" Amy said delightedly.

"Why is her hair off?" Beth questioned. Charlotte replied by whispering, " Because Jo is the worst hairdresser in the world!"

"Meg, I'm so sorry!" Jo said apologetically.

"What have you done?! Marmee, I'm spoilt! I can't go! My hair!" Meg cried.

"I'm sorry! You shouldn't have asked me to do it! I ruin everything!"

"That's not true." Beth whispered.

While Jo and Meg were screaming, Charlotte brushed her hair and straightened her dress.

She was ready so she sat down with Beth and was laughing to herself about the whole situation that was going on.
