Kun then come closer again as he speak so close to her ear, "Im your getaway ticket, and you are my getaway ticket." he said to her hoping she would always remembers what he just said.
Yuxin, for the first time smile ever so wide that it struck him for a moment. "It's a deal, then."
There was a moment of silence as he study her.
"You are indeed a weird one" he said still wondering why she could smile so wide like that. Most woman wouldn't want such sad marriage scenario, ever applied to their life, yet this woman seems thrilled hearing his stupid 'marriage contract'.
"So i just had to pretend that i'm your wife right?" she asked.
"Yup, that's pretty much it." he said as he stretch his long legs. Yuxin looked at him and then look at the ceiling. It took her quite a while before she notices something odd, that the carriage hasn't move for so long.
"S-sir," her voice trembles. "Isn't it strange that it took this long to feed the horses?" she asked. She knew the horses are fast eaters, there's no need for such a long halt, not if the sole purpose is just to feed the horses.
"Shit." he cursed as he too realizes something is definitely off. He quickly put his mask on and took a peek at the window's bind when a man's body was thrown to his side, the sound was so loud that it makes her jump from her seat.
"Stay, here." he orders before taking a long sword underneath the seats. "Lock the door, and wait for my signal. Only mine." he order, as he wrap his furry coat around her before jumping out of the carriage. Not waiting for her to reply or anything.
"Signal? but what is the signall?!" she scream as she did what he said and quickly lock the door. The loud sound of man's yelling, and the clattering sound from seemly swords match echo around the carriage.
'Please let him be safe, please' she kneels as she beg to the heavens above for his safety.
"Rage the carriage!" Man yelling and two big silhouette appear on the door trying to open it but failed to do so as she already lock the door. Those man then frustatedly went banging on the door and suddenly broke the window with his bare fist. The clattering sound from the window glass made her hid her face with the fur coat he gave her before, she was so sure this was the end of it but she waited and waited and nothing nothing happened.
When she peek through the fur coat, she sees Kun panting hard as his face covered with stains of blood. "Good job, rookie." he praises her for locking the door doing what he told her to do so before as his hand went from the broken window to open the lock.
He whistles as a signal before he said, "Come, now." he then reach for her hand. As she went outside, there were tens or even twenties dead man lying on the ground, the blood filled the ground soil of Xilanova.
She stayed by his side when he untie one of the horses from the carriage. "Should've brought more people had i known this area are full of bandits." he said as he then curse to the wind.
He then take a look at her.
"Not afraid of horses, right?" he make sure she was alright to continue the long ride by riding a horse instead of warm comfy carriage.
She shake her head before looking back at the dead man again, three of them were his people. Yet, he doesn't look surprised as if this happened a lot to him.
When he walk with the horse, she took something from the ground and put it around her. "You know how to use that?" he asked when he notice she took one of the bow and arrows from the ground. She nod her head as she grit her teeth, "yeah, i hope i could help you next time." she said determined.
