She was late, she was so late. It was her first day too. But of course she had to sleep through her alarm. Marinette had just moved to Metropolis a month ago but she was only starting school today. After what had happened at her last school she was really hoping that this time it would be different but she didn't want to give her hopes up. She quickly threw on the first thing she saw in her closet which was a bright red crop top with blue ripped jeans and a pair of white converse. She left her hair out in her natural waves and didn't even bother with makeup, not that she wore it anyway. She grabbed a cup of coffee and sprinted out of her apartment. She lived alone, not like she had much of a choice, all her family were still back in Paris. Not that they cared about her anyways.
She liked Metropolis because it held something that made her feel at home. She may have lived in Paris all her life but she could never call it home. She was running in the streets, she knew she was going to be late, class started in five minutes and it would take at least fifteen to run there. Little did she know that a young Super was watching her, running around. He flew down in front of her. She jumped in surprise. "Superboy, how can I help you?" She was genuinely surprised to see one of the Supers. "I saw you running around, do you want me to give you a lift to where you are going?" He offered. She accepted his offer and told him she was going to Metropolis High School. He picked her up bridal style, she let out a small squeak which he laughed at. He lifted her in the air, she had a look of pure amazement on her face, she held onto him by the neck. He observed her reaction as he flew towards the high school. She wasn't scared, she was full of wonder, as her eyes lit up at the ground below her. Superboy got a better look at her, she had black hair that shone blue in the light and had the most luring bluebell eyes. She had small freckles that littered her cheeks and a small tinge of pink to them as well. She was just plain gorgeous.
Too quick for his liking he made it to the school, the bell hadn't rang yet and students were still outside the building. They all stared at the new girl as she was lowered on the ground by Superboy. "Superboy you are a lifesaver, thank you so much. It's my first day here and I was running late. Thank you." She gave him a thankful smile.
"It's no problem Miss...?" He questioned.
"Marinette." He was staring at her trying not to get lost in her eyes, but then he remembered he too had school. "It was no problem Marinette, but I must take my leave, I hope to see you around." He said that then flew off, leaving a blushing parisian. The bell rang and Marinette noticed all the other students had gone inside. Even with the help of Superboy she was going to be late if she didn't hurry up. She ran inside not paying attention to her surroundings. She ran straight into someone, he had black hair and ocean blue eyes with a pair of black frames. "I'm so sorry, are you okay. I'm so lost. It's my first day here. Do you happen to know where English is, if it isn't any trouble?"
The boy let out a small chuckle, "It's no problem I'm heading to English as well, I'll be happy to show you around if you like? I'm Jon by the way." He pulled his hand out gesturing for her to shake it. "I'm Marinette and thank you so much. That would be super."
