The tower

I get out of bed and get dressed 'shit, it's already 11:15' I think to myself as I throw on my black trackies and my fluffy black jumper. I grab my pre-packed bag and rush out of the common room, I ran and get to the base of the astronomy towers stairs. I have one minute, I get to the top and see him standing there staring out into the night. I try to hide my panting as I walk over to him.

"Do I make your heart race so much you cannot breath?" He turned and looked me dead in the eyes. I just stare at him, he gives me a small smile.

"I brought all the books we will need and a watch to know when we need to be drawing the collsetations." I lay my stuff out, I also brought a pillow and a blanket.

"Since we don't need to be doing anything until 1 we could either start the writing process of the assignment or we could," I was cut off by Draco.

"Just relax, not do the fucking work." I sigh looking at him, he went back to staring out into the forest.

"I will start writing then, I don't want to get behind." I turn on the lanterns to see what pages I needed.

"I see being friends with Granger has made you," I now cut him off.

"Dedicated? Yes, I want to pass this year, unlike others." I look him up and down. Ready for whatever he was going to say.

"Didn't your parents tell you it's rude to interrupt?" He questioned bitterly. His hands clenched.

"Well didn't yours? Or were they too busy making you emotionless?" He walks up to me but I step back, he stops right within a few feet of me, towering over my tiny frame, in comparison to his tall, toned body.

"You take that back!" He spat. Resisting to hurt me.

"Only if it's a lie." I grin, he had always tried to create fear in those around him, after the library and my talk with Hermione, I gained more confidence.

"It is. You filthy mudblood." His eyes grow with anger. He could barely keep his hands still.

"If only that was true, but sadly, I'm pureblood. Tragic." I smile wider and walk away. He grabs my wrist, I slightly wince in pain. He pulls me so his face is right in front of mine, our lips almost touching.

"How about, you do the work, and I take a nap." He threw my arm away, taking a second before going to grab my pillow and blanket. He went to the corner and laid down.

I start writing and in no time it was 12:50. Shit, I gotta wake him up. I walk over and hesitate to tap him.

"Wake up." I whisper, he groans back. Not opening his eyes.

"You gotta get up Malfoy." He snapped his eyes open. If looks could kill.

"My name is Draco." He threw the blanket off him and storms past me to sit down at the edge of the tower. I grab our work and sit near him. Ignoring his behaviour.

"Can you draw this one and label it, I'll do this one." I gave him his work and we began to draw in silence. He didn't even look at me. But my thoughts got the better of me. I wanted to know,

"Why do you call Harry, Potter and Hermione, Granger but don't like me being called Malfoy?" He doesn't look up.

"If I have to spend time with you then it's easier to call me my name." I was a little shocked. How come he changed from his enragement to this quiet boy. 'Men' I think to myself.

"That makes sense. I guess we gotta get along." I continue to draw.

"I guess we do." We stayed quiet until we had finished, I stayed looking up at the stars, taking in the beauty. He got up first and went to start packing up. When I went to get up and turned around, I twisted my ankle and lost my balance. I gasp loudly and started to fall backwards, fear ran though my body.

As I started to get to the point were I was gonna fall off the platform I was grabbed and pulled into his embrace. He didn't let go of my arm or abdomen until he had pulled my into the middle of the room. My head felt dizzy with all the adrenaline. He looked at me,

"Are you okay?" I began to feel faint and he sat me down. I took a second and responded.

"Yes. Thank you." I look up and I see a slight worry in his eyes.

"Good. You never listen to me." He sounded irritated now.

"How?" I'm staring at him.

"I said don't get hurt and look, you nearly died." He was throwing his hands around. I grabbed one. He shot a glance at me.

"I'm fine now. Cannot believe you actually cared." I smirk. He shakes my hand off his.

"I'm going." He grabbed his papers and head towards the stairs. I still sat on the ground.

"Bye!" I yell before he disappears. I pack my stuff and go back to my dorm, the whole time i'm running our whole interaction in my head. I smile slightly.
