“CRASH!” Rivers body collided with the wall with the force of a falling bolder. Gripping at his hair, he gasped for the air his lungs craved. Futilely, River tried screaming. It made no difference. No one was ever there to hear his screams or calm his pain. Loosening the tight fist of his right hand, three little white tablets escaped their prison, falling to the ground. River’s body began to shake with rage as he looked down with hatred at the deceivingly innocent pills. He should have taken them, before the voices had poisoned his mind.
