Sonder
(noun) - the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.Hawks found that so peculiar, It fascinates him, he'd stand on rooftops, watching over the city, watching as other people's lives moved along, imagining all the different lives they possibly could've lived. But humanity can be a tricky thing, he knew he'd never be able to fully know what happens in someone else's life, because simple enough; he only has one life of his own.
Dabi on the other hand, merely didn't care about what went on in other people's life, he was never curious. The only thing he found himself being curious about was what the hell goes through the hero's head, he never knew, he could never truly know, Hawks was a bright, bubbly and wild person so no matter how well Dabi thought he knew him, what he thought was completely unknown.
"Do you seriously find this all amusing? Just spending your free time watching other people" Dabi asked, rather annoyingly.
"Well..." Hawks tilted his head to Dabi, a huge toothy grin spreading across his sunkissed face "Yeah! It's fun to imagine what excitement their life is filled with"
"You just sound like a fuckin' creep" The dark-haired villain replied as he lit himself a cigarette.
Dabi's mind could never understand that yellow-haired piss face, how he could be so happy, how he saw such beauty in a cruel, unforgiving world.
No matter how unpleasant Dabi found Hawks' cheerful ways, he always felt curious of him.The moon shone over the pair
despite their 'lack' of similarities
during hawks' freetime, they spent time together"You sure this isn't just an excuse to watch the sunset with me, Hero?" Dabi sneered slyly
"Calm down, cowboy. Trust me, I'd choose anyone but you to share a romantic moment like this with so I'm sure." Hawks only snapped back while rolling his eyes in clear annoyance.
Yikes.
Dabi blew out the smoke, confusion striking his mind as he stayed silence. "I think Hawks likes you" A familiar voice spoke in his head, Toga, she was better at the whole romance thing than he was and she was usually right about her deductions... so why? Why would Hawks say something as bitter as that? Sure, he didn't care all that much but It felt confusing.
Nothing, It was nothing. He brushed the thought off quicker than he thought about it, the cigarette he had sat between his teeth had now been thrown to the ground and stomped on.
"Y'know, If theres one thing you're good at its wasting your cigarettes" Hawks joked
"Haha, Hero." Dabi spat back in sarcasm.
They stared at eachother for a minute before looking up to the dark star-lit night sky that only trickled with rain. They looked back to eachother, a gleam sat in Hawks' eyes, such a Pluviophile, Dabi only found it annoying, but of course, he was Dabi, he found everything annoying at this point in life. Unsatisfied with the current wet situation they were in.
"Well, shall we go, Hero?" Dabi questioned, not wanting to get wet.
"Mmm" The no. 3 hero hummed "Nah.." He said as he sat himself down near the ledge of the building. a beautiful scenery, even in the rain, Dabi only percieved him as delusional with the way he found everything somehow unique and beautiful.
