Sometimes, I like to stare. Usually at random things, and notice the little things. Like the vase that Aunt Macey had changed from a regular-shaped vase to a polygon one. No one noticed that it'd changed until I pointed it out in front of my parents. Or when I noticed that a certain same bird always perched on the tree across my bedroom window whenever I'm reading. Its feathers were always white tinged with black.
However, this time, something else caught my eye.
In class, there was always that one person who always stood out from the rest particularly to you. And you'd know straight away, because you'd be caught most of the time thinking about them. If you were my classmate reading this, you'd probably think of Unice.
Ah, Unice. Star of the class, best of the best. Her skin glows like the sun and her eyes always twinkled like stars. Everyone looks up to her like some goddess. In all honesty, I'd say my classmates were just a load of simps. Unice wasn't a bad person, it's just that I think the spotlight glows a little bit too much on her. She's just an obstacle, a distraction, ruining the chances of others to be successful. They'll get nowhere by watching their idol at work if they don't do any work at all.
But no, it's not Unice to me.
A gust of wind flew into the window. I turned my head, and saw... him. His hair, it waved around, shimmering like river. The sun beamed, reflecting his azure eyes as though they were a pair of crystals. His hair flowed and danced in the air with such gentle grace as though in slow motion, it was magic.
"Cody? Hey, Cooodyyy. Earth to Cody?"
"Gah! Oh, Jaxon. What's up?" I asked.
"Who're you starin' at?" He looked in the direction I was looking at. "Ohhh, does Cody have a little crush?" He sniggered, dragging the last word slowly in a playful tone. "Is it... Unice?"
What! "Unice? Absolutely not! She is the pinnacle of attention, to be with her is like a nightmare come true!" Shaking my head a little too vigorously, I crossed my arms into a X-shape. However, it seemed that I didn't make it clear enough to Jaxon, and he continued to tease, "You like Unice~ But then again, who doesn't? She's so smart, and kind, and caring..."
I let him ramble on as my brain automatically tuned his words out. I don't care about Unice.
I turned to face the window again. This time, I could see small fish swimming around him. The ocean's light, filtering around him. My eyes widened. His hair continued to flow around him. The light of the sea tinted his black hair with a turquoise hue. It took me a while to realize that I wasn't blinking. My eyes had teared up from all the dust that entered them. But I didn't feel like blinking. I wanted to take in every moment that I was seeing him.
"...Cody? Cody dude? Are you even listening to me? Who are you looking at? Unice again?" Jaxon spoke, but I didn't try to looks at him. I didn't dare take my eyes off the boy with floating hair. "Oh, are you looking at the new kid? His name's Aster, he just came into class this morning, said he was a transfer student from Kyoto, just moved into Tokyo cuz' his parents changed jobs."
Aster... That's a nice name.
You're... beautiful.

Yeahhh this just popped up in my head on my way to school. It's pretty gay, as you can see. I originally focused more on the hair since that was the original idea. I've actually got more ideas to add some magic in this story. Should I continue it? Turn it into a series?
